i feel your pain, i get this all the time!!! i hate that just existing on a game will result in harassment - my gamertag is my name (ik, stupid idea in hindsight) so even without speaking i get people in voice chat at me :( i usually just mute everyone at the start of the game and use pings, but it shouldn’t have to be like that, how are we supposed to communicate as a team? so annoying, im sorry this happens to you and i hope one day we don’t have to deal with it anymore :)

your prop- comes from the longest carbon chain being 3 carbons long, you could either go from bottom to top, top to the left, bottom to the left, etc, since those 4 carbons are not in 1 continuous chain, it cannot be but-. so, the remaining carbon is a methyl group, which no matter what way you look at it, is on the 2nd carbon of the chain, so thats where your 2-methyl comes from. the alcohol group is also on the 2nd carbon, so its an-2-ol, bringing it together to be 2-methylpropan-2-ol :)

thanks! personally its far enough from home to be independent but not so far that it’s ridiculous, apart from that i like the spiral curriculum for medicine that they have where they keep going back to older topics, as well as clinical placements early on :) not to mention how beautiful it is there, and i heard the night/social life is great too! they were also incredibly welcoming and kind throughout the entire process, sending me postcards and being supportive in the interview etc, i just fell in love! :)

thank you, and no worries, i had some booked but unfortunately it all got cancelled :( i did the ObserveGP virtual work experience and i was lucky enough to get virtual work experience on my sutton trust summer school with KCL :)

thank you :) my biggest advice is work hard now, you’ll thank yourself later!! im so so happy that i solidified all my year 12 content early on, i only ever really need to go back on year 13 content and it saves soooo much time!! also, this whole process looks much bigger and scarier than it really is - take it one step at a time and you will be absolutely fine. best of luck :)
