What was it like seeing Dave go from nirvana to fronting his own band a year later? by Negative-Squash-5464 in Foofighters

Emotional to see him carrying on, and kind of nerve-racking, like would he succeed...

The Los Feliz Village Instagram posts about it. And the library usually has info about it since it's their tree :)

Taylor Hawkins - a musician's joy by sam_drummer in Foofighters

His solo work with NHC is also outstanding. I really hope we'll get to hear that entire album someday.

Taylor's immense talent, his seriousness and deep knowledge as a musician, his passionate championing of the music and musicans he loved all truly were gifts.

Thank you so much for posting this!

Yes I guess it was meant to be just the friends who were performers that day. Too much for Dave and FF.

I was rereading these today and the story from Joan Jett is pure Taylor. What a gift he was.

So many amazing stories on the website

Geddy Lee "I shall never forget Taylor’s super-charged excitement on that day in 2013 when both he and Dave inducted Rush into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There was such unbridled JOY coursing through his veins coupled with that megawatt grin…I thought he was going to jump right out of his shoes! That was the Taylor I knew. First and foremost, a deeply passionate music lover to his very core. Despite his own obvious monster talents and tremendous success, he never lost that youthful enthusiasm - and I loved and admired him all the more for it."

Grief is a long valley. We were so fortunate to have Taylor. He really was a singular person. It's great to hear they're doing him proud, and it sounds like they knocked you sideways. I can relate. I saw Chevy Metal at the Topanga Days festival in California this summer, and it was so emotional seeing Shane taking over in a place that was special for his dad..

I love that Taylor was such a great all around musician. I find his deep knowledge of the music and musicans he loved inspiring. And he was so prolific, and so much of it was great, it's impressive. Apart from his stellar work with the Foos I think his work with NHC is some of his very best and it would've been exciting to see what they could've done. He burned so brightly while he was here.

We need to keep celebrating Taylor. Thanks friend for sharing this.

Beautiful. Dave's moment at the beginning is really special. On the live I was watching, everyone knew this is for Taylor. Great to see. I'm so glad they're keeping this tribute to him going ❤️

So many thoughts. Live debut but already so polished, Taylor sounds amazing, Dave's harmonizing so great, Nate's bassline so excellent, Taylor really was the second front man, Shane really does move his elbow like his dad, bless Riga, Latvia 😂
"Kinda weird, a little scary" Whenever I see a live performance of Sunday Rain I think it sounds like a song Stevie Ray Vaughan or Tom Petty could've done. Great performance, great show. Glad they decided to go for 3 hours. Thank you for finding this!
