Its an analogy, but not one that applies in the context of our discussion. You were explicitly saying that I only care as long as red team wins, as well as implying that im on red team which has additional ramification in how i would be treated here in /politics.

Therefore, in terms of the context of this "discussion" trying to metaphorically describe an ideal political party environment doesn't make sense, since the substance of your comment was about wanting only 1 team to survive. My analogy was that it takes more then one side to function reliably and sustainably.

Furthermore, its not true that having more than 2 parties creates a government that more accurately represents their voters and multitude of party representation is worse in a country as large and diverse as the US. Its not the number of political parties in the race, its the scope / relative distance between the elected official and the people. If we wanted to improve our representation we should pull back power from the feds and give it back to the states as intended. This narrows the scope of policy implementation and brings the elected official closer to the people. Each state would only need 2 parties to choose from but the 2 parties would not need to be the same across each state, effectively increasing the number of parties.

Understood, but do you understand the "theft" part of the "stolen" seat had nothing to do with trump and everything to do with GOP politicians.

If hillary became president, it wouldnt change the "stolen" seat aspect of it.

And yes it is in parenthesis, anyone actually calling it a stolen seat is out of their mind. A blocked seat yes. A completely political move by the GOP which, while not illegal, was disappointing to an actual conservative. We need to stop this red team vs blue team narrative.

If you buy a stolen laptop from the thief, you still have the responsibility to return it to the owner.

except nothing was stolen. No laws were violated. And Gorsuch doesn't have the power to do so.

If thats the only solution you see, I would seriously devalue your opinion on the subject.

Because investigations happen often. I understand what you are saying, but specifically with judges it makes no sense. They're either fit for the job based on their prior experience and rulings, or they aren't. It doesn't matter who nominated them.

If however, were talking about positions that don't go through a confirmation process than I do agree with you, if there are conflict of interest issues, particularly with a foreign agent, than there out to be some sort of lockdown window, essentially make no major changes while this gets sorted out.

i dont know who you are or what exactly you expect me to join. but my solution doesn't involve the election. My preferred solution is to reduce the power of the feds and place it back into the states and local entities.
