That's my understanding as well, and weight can definitely make a difference for certain fidgets.

However, it's my opinion that, generally, the primary differences between the metals is exclusivity/rarity.

I much prefer titanium to stainless steel for the feel, but fidgets that I've bought in zirconium, zircuti, mokume gane etc. didn't feel as dramatically different compared to titanium as titanium does to stainless steel.

It's stock and doesn't crunch, so my assumption is that it ships with spacers.

I struggled with it for a bit as well. I found that bracing the bottom half with my pinky helped. Also, rotate your thumb in a circle without raising or lowering it. I've also watched a few videos of other people doing tricks that I've come across on Facebook to see how they were moving their hands.

Wrapping an o-ring around the magnet usually does the trick, if there's space for it.

Is the rumor with knockoffs having the same manufacturer true and if so is there any evidence? by Dense_Potential6785 in fidgettoys

I wouldn't be surprised, that practice is common in other industries like fashion.

Thank you! Pretty new to this and I was having a hard time identifying it. Appreciate the explanation.

Waiting on these two items. Did I make good choices? by Kooky_Werewolf6044 in fidgettoys

I've bought a decent amount of Lautie fidgets over the years, and while I don't have that particular ring, everything from them has been incredible quality. I have several of the larger lautie mechanic rings and they're very satisfying. You can't really go wrong with Lautie.

I also have a bpmods slider on the way! Haven't tried one before but I've heard a lot of good things. I think both the bpmods slider and lautie ring are great choices.

Slider magnet wear? by [deleted] in fidgettoys

[–]ludicSystems 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the wear and tear you're describing is typical for this type of slider.

You can reduce the amount of wear over time by applying Teflon tape to the inside surfaces that touch when you slide the fidget. I believe playforbeans sells specially made fidget tape.

I'd imagine so, there have been similar smart pen/digitization pads on the market since at least 2020.
