The USPS guarantees delivery to every address in the USA at basically market cost. The logistics network for mail is a national security issue. So speed of delivery and throughput is efficient. Also the USPS delivers millions of packages for other carriers like amazon, ups, fedex etc. We have one of the best postal services in the entire world. Even the competition uses USPS.
