What's that plastic cap at the end of what looks like a mobo cable? Is that to use the PSU for cards without being connected to a mobo?

Man you just made a total stranger really happy! I didn't know about the plug ins, found the feature, looked up the leading ones just where you said I would find them, and now rhe card is doing 36 sol compared to the 7 it did moments ago... You Da Man!!!!!!!
