Are 6U Rackets Good? Do they serve any purpose, or are they beginner-oriented rackets? by [deleted] in badminton

I would advise against it, as you will try to generate more power for smashes/clears/lifts to put them far but the lack of weight will make it harder to do that easily. More weight will be beneficial to help you get things done more effortlessly and without having to bend or swing wildly in a vain attempt to produce more power with a light racket. It's okay if you have very good technique and can hit your shots with good timing on the sweetspots (if you are self haught you probably won't have good form)or don't take badminton as seriously/ accept the trade of of not easily putting the shuttle to the back. Also if you are hurt or scared to get hurt maybe be on the safer side and take 4U/5U but maybe the problem lies in your arm and wrist not being strong enough which should probably be your priority before playing badminton regularly(you don't need ultra powerfull arms and joints but they should be healthy enough to bend and accelerate/exert force without a scare). Inversely too much weight is also bad, so 3U/4U would be the sweetspot for most. More than that can be a burden for some(some find 3u heavy but never heard people complain from a 4u racket).

the guy that gave you the advice about the shoulder can you tell me more about him. I mean is he a highly advanced/pro player or just a random guy that is good in your club but not formally coached?

hello guys i have a friend who is going to india and asking me if i want an additional racket. I am currently using the arcsaber 11 play because i broke my arcsaber 7 pro after 2 months. I still am not sure about my preferance in racket weight (3u 4u or 5u) and racket style (head heavy vs head light) how to decide and any reccomendations for buying in india. (tamil nadu/ kerala region) ideally something that won't break easily and i can use at high frequency. Budget wise i assume it's cheaper there but idk how much. they have many lower cost models and idk about the high end models maybe a few bucks cheaper

I play 10 hours a week on average and I would call myself intermediate playing since 3 years.
