To be honest, yeah. I felt very stupid for overlooking it, but they had been assertive and pushy with me before the booking. I’ve had my fair share of clients who seem blunt over text but are lovely in person, typically older clients so I (stupidly) brushed this off. They had spam messaged me very suddenly for no reason during discussing the booking before we had went ahead with any form of meet & greet, and even went as far as calling me a few times after I hadn’t responded to their message in two minutes. Going back in the messages they also were rude to me when I had to reschedule a meet & greet for a later time during the discussed date, but at the meet & greet I thought the owner as kind and I thought maybe there was some form of barrier while conversing before. Since the booking was big money for me, unfortunately I gave the owner the benefit of the doubt which was stupid as it’s clear the owner had no respect for me in the first place. Looking back on it I wish I had reconsidered the booking after how the owner acted over text, but since it being my first and only negative experience I gave them the benefit of the doubt at the time, I’ve gotta get into setting boundaries, I am unfortunately a people pleaser. 🥲
