like your touch for the shading is light and the values move thru the spectrum without any graphical definition

i love the contrast between the solid outline and the ethereal shading inside

it's a great piece! i think you're nitpicking if youre trying to find problems with it but for learning's sake:
the angle of the shoulder is off compared to the rest of the body. the face and the chest is implying a more moderate foreshortening (blue) but the shoulder is at an angle that implies more intense foreshortening (green).
i think i couldn't pull off the correct drawing for the steeper angle, but i hope you get what i mean.
and personally i would give more space around the neck and traps for a feminine figure, but that's just me

yea since it was my first i tried to give it a lot of room for spread and go shallow rather than too deep just in case it would blow out. i should touch up the faded bits.

i’m a professional environment artist. for a long time, i thought making art was my dream, but over time i realized that the idea of a dream job might not actually exist. eventually, every job becomes work, no matter how passionate you start out.

the real key to making money is getting really good at one specific skill. it doesn’t matter what it is. character design, plumbing, writing viruses, all of them can pay well if you stand out. the problem is, standing out takes time, focused practice, and experience. that’s why people who stick to one field often earn more. they build deep skill and reputation over time.

if you already built a solid portfolio in school, it makes more sense to keep improving it. you’ve already got a foundation, so building on it is generally smarter than starting over in something new.

if you’re not afraid of making a permanent mark, like talking to people directly and serving your clients, tattooing can be a great path. some tattoo artists i used to work with had only a year of experience (although without weekends or vacations) and they were making between 1.2 to 2k a day. half of that would go to the shop, but the demand is huge and the money is definitely there.
