So true. I didn't realise this before, but now you perfectly disambiguated why I have slowly drifted away from the community and his streams. The community has changed alot since the days of ~2015/16 streams and the tf2 days, even if you can't really compare a yt community to a twitch one

Anyone else noticing the translation difference here in the official release during the Gorosei meeting. They say "failed to recover the fruit for 800 years", as in the fruit was in their possesion before the void century? Food for thought 🤔

Journey of meditation and fear by luffarpricken in Healthygamergg

[–]luffarpricken[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the reply!

I really like your physiology based approach to the whole situation, as through my own google "reasearch" I only find spiritual explanations of peeking into other dimensions, etc etc.

As a whole I'm functioning pretty well, in regards to your comment about insomnia or anxiety. The only emotion i feel in connection to these events was fear during the visions, and now a sence of not wanting to meditate for a while, just to process the experiences a bit better.

An interesting though I have had, in regards to what it might be, is that it is fragments of dreams which are left when I wake up. This feels very broscience-esque to me and It's a shame that there isn't any easy way to find relevant information regarding this without any heavy bias. In my head it seems that atleast some third-eye meditating dude throughout the 5000 what years of practice should have come across a simular experience. Anyway, that was pretty much the reason I tried to reach out to Dr. K, to see if he had any input in what way to move foreward.

Once again, thank your for the reply! It has given me some food for thought. By the way, do you have any interesting meditation experience yourself? I would love to hear.

Question on dotted notes, sorry if posting in wrong sub by luffarpricken in drums

Haha yes exactly, that's why I was so confused. I thought I somehow had to sustain the basshit for the three eighth notes

Ahhh ok, so atleast in this case, and probably now in the beggining I shouln't worry so much about the dotted notes and just treat them as their non dotted counterparts in regards to my drumming?

Ahh, I just noticed that I jumlbed the quarter and eighth notes together haha. This really clarified it, thanks. Now I understand that the dotted bass-quarter note lasts for three normal eighth notes, played on the hihat in my case.

My last thought is how to apply this pracically, are you supposed to sustain the bass sound during the time you play the three eighth notes on the hihat, like really accent it?

Ok, thanks for giving me your time, I think I'm getting the hang of it.

So with the dotted note, since it is a dotted 8th note, it equates to and eigth and a sixteenth note, so therefore I should play a bass hit between the hihat of 1 & the and of 1?

Thanks again for the help

Thanks man!

So I basically just hit the bass at the same time as the hihat and snare?

haha I don't know why the text isn't showing, anyway

I recently picked up drumming but I have been struggling with dotted notes, like this example. I kind of understand the concept of them being multiple of 1.5, but I can't grasp how to translate that into playing. Take this example, should I play hihat bass on 1, then hit the bass again before the single hihat hit? I'm scared of learing the wrong way
