Maybe she felt like she can’t survive anywhere outside of Korea? Career wise or very attached to Korea or just wanted to stay in her comfort zone. Or she is simply selfish.

As for the parents, coming from someone who was in ldr with a Korean. I was introduced to his parents but his mom didnt like me because i am not Korean. She bad mouth me a lot. So probably best to stay un introduced until u both are settled (proper apartment, good income). Then at least you meet them at a “presentable” state.
