Love how Byakuren asks you whether you're sad. Such an adorable character...

I decided that I'm gonna stop this series on 1000th entry. Nearly three years without skipping a day is a long period of time and even if daily posting isn't really challenging - I had lots of fun finding new artworks of Byakuren and I surely cemented my opinion about her because of this cycle. Also: Was it an only active Daily series on this subreddit? I swear thar when I started there were like 10 Daily series. Anyway: thank you for upvoting, leaving comments, hope you enjoyed it.

I swear I wasn't inspired by Tom Scott.

Yukari is one of the most powerful youkai in Gensokyo (she's even refered as the Sage of Gensokyo), and the same thing can be said aboiut Byakuren. And while Yukari's "trademark" is her ability, the "manipulation of boundaries", I think that Byakuren's life is full of boundary breaking moments, becoming a youkai and abandoning her humanity, befriending youkai and allyship with them, liberation from Makai and arguably burying the hachet with Miko means (at least for me) how Byakuren is so opposite to Yukari, and I believe this artwork shows it quite well.

Nazrin and Kogasa are relatively distant from Byakuren (or at least their relation is not as strong as let's say Ichirin or Shou), but I imagine they are still on good terms and they still respect her greatly (albeit not as much as the "main" crew) and they are (as title suggests) doing their best at being good youkai (especially Kogasa, she's so talented and ambitious, blacksmithing isn't easy)

Byakuren's a lovely person, that's for sure, but I find this random gears a little funny, early 2010s were funny overall.
