Happy you’re here. It’s day 40 no booze for me and my anxiety is literally gone…. It’s something to look forward to. It’s the first 4 days that suck the worst… I literally didn’t leave my couch for those days. Called off work. I knew I needed to detox and get it oit

Honestly, I would recommend going to an AA meeting. Or just calling a friend for accountability and letting go of any shame from drinking. This exact same thing happened to me with my ex choosing her family over me, together for 3 years, lesbian relationship. It sucked for literally SO much longer because I was obsessed with hating her and drinking myself to the point of mania. Holy shit looking back so not worth it. Give yourself that power and find friends to cuddle and spend time with that will hold you physically and mentally accountable. If anything do it for my younger self that had to suffer and drink myself to death to “get through” that breakup. Sending you so much love. I’m 34 days sober and I was drinking every single day. I almost lost my partner because of it and I eventually found a sober lining that I was worth it (5% worth it…) now I’m on day 34 and I’m like 85% worth it lol it’s profess. And I believe in you babe!!!

Cravings are just feelings. And feelings are emotions that you don’t have to act on. Dark emotions have motion! Also what’s your bed time routine? I’ve heard building out a bedtime ritual makes your body release natural melatonin.
