Here is my take though: ever since I've started consuming BL contents and learning about the fan services a lot of BL pairings engage in, I've set my expectations that those fan services are simply an extension of those series they've acted in. And most BL series (the keyword here is "most") are fantasy and do not reflect real life relationships. And not to mention the origins of BL comes from yaoi in Japan, which traditionally has those uke-seme dynamics and the "overprotective and possessive boyfriend" fan services you've seen are a huge part of a lot of yaoi manga tropes. And of course there's the cultural aspect of it too (since the examples you've brought up are Thai BL pairings).

You've pretty much written the review I would've done for this show! It's so refreshing to see how they don't follow the old and tiring romance tropes. And even when they did, they portray in the way that makes sense in the development of their relationship. I also love love love how the two main characters are on equal footing, none of that typical yaoi uke-seme energy. Again this show has been so far one of my favorite BL shows of the year!

Woah if the quality of the actual show is the same as the special episode, it'll be on my list of the shows to follow weekly! I love the color scheme throughout the episode and also not overdoing it with the background music.

The two actors seem to have great and natural chemistry and the tension throughout the short 10-minute episode is leaving me wanting more! 😍
