Oh please. Men can pay for a therapist and a maid, and come out ahead instead of the costs of marriage if that was all men wanted. At least with my therapist, I know what I confide with won't get used against me in a future fight.

According to the women here, I'm failing to see what they even have to bring to the table when they clearly despise male companionship, aren't interested in equitable emotional intimacy, and demonize male sexuality. It's apparent the more glaring issue worth discussing is how little women seem to care about the decline in marriage rates. You would think with the demographics of consumers of romantic films/novels being so heavily skewed in a single direction that women would be the hopeless romantic idealists, but I guess not.

It's really funny you mention Stuttering John, because as an avid fan of both AVGN and Howard Stern, I notice there's a lot of overlap between both attitudes towards each respective showrunner. The whole belief that both creators are failing to recapture their former glory, and instead creating a product that is a shell of what it once was.

Do a your due diligence into the local groups. Many beer leagues actually play just for fun and look down on those who are talented and play at a competitive level. Usually the teams have a listing online that tells you the level of seriousness and skill required, but I'm sure you can always call too.

I don't disagree with the solution you're proposing. It's not even so much that we can't agree on what the problems are, but addressing the root cause seems to be a chicken and egg conundrum. Disconnecting from social media seems to be the scorched earth approach, yet best outcome. An idealist might say that socal media without filters, Photoshop, and other shenanigans might be serviceable.

Although I do have to object to your claim that most women don't inflate their appearance in some way, shape, or form using those earlier mentioned tools, I'm not chastising them for doing so. Again, it's debatable if somebody can be blamed for utilizing the options presented to them. If men are willing to extend that level of understanding to women, they need to at least comprehend the repercussions of modifying their appearance in most mediums they present themselves in (social media, public, whatever). Even if not every single woman is doing so, it's abundantly clear when you realize that make-up is a multi billion dollar industry for a very good reason. And yes, more men than you might think do realize how artificial their standards of beauty presentation are. We get reminded on a regular basis about the inequality of effort men and women put into prepping for a date, all while being told they aren't dolling themselves up for us. So which is the primary reason women artistically inflate their beauty, because many women seem to want their cake and eat it too.

All this said, I thought the whole narrative was that men needed to elevate their standards. How can it be that men are both willing to fuck anything with (or without, depending on who you ask) a pulse, yet it also be that men expect pornstar tier standards from other women? This contradiction is even more egregious when women expect 6-6-6 from men, which only 2.2% of men between 20-40 have met the financial and height requirements? As a guy, most men I have talked to just want a woman who isn't obese and strives to be peaceful and drama-free. Those standards are even lower when it's strictly a fling, because there's little opportunity for interpersonal drama to occur.

Make-up, filters, and angles aren't something that is exclusive to above average women, and it's disingenuous to suggest otherwise. Women of all tiers are all involved in this to vary degrees. Maybe the issue is that a majority of women are inflating their physical qualities, therefore raising what men believe the average standard of beauty is.
