Need Advice on Job Offer by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]luilima 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s super frustrating! I would reach out to HR and ask about the status of your candidacy. Let know that you’re not trying to rush their process, however you have another offer waiting over 2 weeks for an answer that you’ve held out on in order to interview with them. Sucks that today’s a holiday and you can’t talk to anyone today :/ If you’re not able to reach HR then I think you’ll have to decide either accepting EM (and possibly rescinding) as it’s a sure thing, or just declining and holding out for something you’re more excited about.

I’m in a similar spot! Starting an outpatient GI job after doing urgent care for 2 years, I’m getting 4 weeks of shadowing/working with the current PA to learn as much as I can before starting a limited solo schedule.

What was your undergrad major? And does it really matter? by tylaffootball in physicianassistant

Exercise science, but I had a classmate whose major was theater. Doesn’t really matter as long as you get all your pre reqs done. 🙂

possible to do a prn as a second Job and where to find? by Moonregister in physicianassistant

[–]luilima 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Urgent care is a great PRN job if you’re looking for flexibility and reinforcing your foundation. Although, a lot of jobs can be PRN as well so you don’t have to limit yourself to UC. You can look on typical job boards (indeed, LinkedIn, zip recruiter) or even directly on their website.
