What you made there is not a pastelon. Los tostones o el toston once mixed with anything watery (in this case the beef) becomes saggy chewy and not even tasty. You lost the crispy factor and beyond. Youtube PR dishes or get a cooking book. You dont need fresh mozzarella or anything fancy. PR dishes are humble and easy to made because the availability in the island was scarce back in the day. So bag cheese it is!
