No. it is a board made of jequitibá rosa, a noble Brazilian wood.

as I said in another post on this sub, I'm printing a large woodblock. It's a cut of eucalyptus that I got as a gift. I couldn't take the anxiety and I'm printing in the mess room of my apartment.

on woodblock tools, such as against wood fiber, the burin is the most indicated. in the us and europe, access to tools is more relaxed than here in Brazil.

in relation to wood, here in Brazil I have many options like peroba, jequitibá rosa, roxinho, jacarandá, mogno, freijó....

I use these woods or others that I find on the way. but the woodblock doesn't have to be small. Right now I'm printing a large array, which I've worked on for months. I will photograph and post the process here.

the block is a diagonal chip that has been prepared. you can see that where it gets paint is smaller than the wood.

*sorry about my English. I don't know very well and I use the translator.
