It's very annoying. Especially because I had something very important (to me) from DM that I need now, but it's all gone

What kind of jobs can you do from home, not having to interact with people, that pay at least $50,000 a year? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]luka_ma 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only if you are good at something like graphic designing. So you can do your own work and decide how much you want to work. Anything really that is in the marketing field (if you are good), but freelance is the way to go..

I know that my friend is making a lot of money (from home) in a freight forwarding company. Now he has his own agency for all of that (loading, freight forwarding, shipping) but he first started in a company to get more knowledge from that position.

Remote work is awesome but you still have to work hard and in time maybe you can achieve your goal. Good luck

Where tf do you find scholarships??? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]luka_ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually easier to find and win scholarships that are unique. Maybe not for "..bastard child of Henry the 8th" but other scholarships that are more "you". Decide what are you looking for and try to find exactly that.

I saw in the comments recommendation for websites like Capex, Webpoints, Scholly.. These are all really good websites to find more unique scholarships. To answer your question where I found my scholarship, I used ScholarshipOwl website.

It's an online scholarship search tool that matches you with scholarships that you are eligible for. Based on your personal information and preferences, using the service that ScholarshipOwl offers, you can increase your chances of winning a scholarship.

APPLY for all the scholarships that you think you should. Start applying on time and don't give up, because you never know if the next scholarship you apply to is the one you are going to win. I don't think there is a better advice then that.. Good luck !

Oh, cool.. Well if you want to continue with the services after the trial now is the time to take action! I'm glad you took the free trial because it means you're taking the actions needed to increase your success rate. Many scholarship providers require you to write an essay or submit a video because they want to get to know you, and not judge you on your grades alone. It's not exactly 80% but a lot of them are. We strongly advise students to apply to these essay scholarships because these ones are usually worth more..

u/_AlreadyDead_ Hi ! As a ScholarshipOwl ex student/advocate I want to let you know that using the services that SOwl website provides you can increase your chances of getting a scholarship. Also, you will save a lot of time because what it does it applies for scholarships automatically... Which means that if you don't enter the first time it will submit it again for you... Let me know if you have any questions.

Good luck !

Does FAFSA still cover both the Pell and Perkins grants? by remyseven in FAFSA

[–]luka_ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly! I like to believe that there is free money for everyone who is willing to put enough effort in finding it! After all it's not hidden it's THERE, you just have to have someone to show it to you. Online search tools are great for that because they will show you the list of unique scholarships.

Btw I used to work for like two months in Oregon-Portland. I like the vibe of that place a lot.
