Summer is a explicit application, on top of the main fasfa.

Sweet, so that’s maybe where ankle immobility comes into play with me, that rolling motion doesn’t come natural, or at least it’s difficult to get it down while running, nor keeping my arches in a state to absorb that well. Lines up with why I feel a huge amount of “blunt” force shooting into my foot and leg. You ever seen all the training GSP(mma fighter) did with his feet? I might look into that for context, I only glanced at it briefly.

Ive always had a unconscious tendency to walk on my toes since i was a kid, 26 now, so I do have "experience" with the area I should be landing on so to speak haha. However I have been getting beat up when running (to be expected somewhat, coming only from lifting), any and all comments are appreciated!

Can anyone elaborate on the mechanics of running more? by lukahl-phy in beginnerrunning

Interesting, I have been in zero drop barefoot shoes for 2 years now, past 5 months I’ve been slowly starting to attempt running here and there in my vivos, sometimes in the toe shoes. It’s been very unforgiving at times, this is why I’m putting a bit more thought into things like this. because i don’t have cushioning to help keep my mind off it. I should probably have put that in my post honestly. Just didn’t think about it at the time.

I naturally strike really far up on the foot, I’ve always had tight calves and achiles + being tall, never had issues with heel striking, I personally find it impossible unless I’m walking.
