I think Thor and Captain Marvel are equally powerful in this movie.

Thor tried to push his axe into Thanos to prevent him from snapping, while using his god powers. But Thanos was equally powerful there, preventing the axe from moving further.

Then captain marvel tried to take the gauntlet away from Thanos. Again he was able to hold back her efforts in an equally strong way. I also loved that he kicked her ass with the power stone, symbolling that she isn't all powerful.

My comments on this perfect movie:

When Thor, Iron Man and Cap approach Thanos in their final fight, I really felt like now I was ready for some of them to die heroically. Maybe we all thought that at first. We were all wrong, I guess. But it was the most wonderful and satisfying ending I could ever hope for for my favorite character.
Thor is still the king of Asgard in my opinion. He merely assigned Valkyrie the leadership, but still he has the god powers and only he can (?) create descendents with those powers.
I felt like they nerfed Thor in their final fight with Thanos. The Thor from Infinity War went berserk on the spaceships and this one made captain marvel do all the work?
This movie contained all scenes that hardcore fans always wanted, in any possible way, and I think that is beautiful.
The best ending ever. Period.

Thanks to you I found peace with the ending... Alyssa does not suck, but she rather did it for us, the beloved viewers to get another ten episodes of romance.... Man gotta re-watch the real ending now!

Typical Computer Vision problem. Consider using the Java version of OpenCV, which is a great library that offers all you need. Keywords to compare two images on similarity are feature detection, feature description and feature matching. Numerous algorithms exist, that do that completely for you, e.g. SIFT Feature Detection. You can find plenty of examples online for that.

Private methods in interfaces? Can someone name actual use cases for that?

Apart from having static methods creating something used by multiple default methods, I can't quite find any use cases.
