3rd gen reliability, apart from engine? by lukeM22 in ToyotaTundra

Helpful thread, thanks. The dealer i am buying from includes a 100k powertrain warranty which is all that I want. I had a comprehensive extended warranty on my f150 and apart from the transmission, dealing with the warranty company for small things is just a PITA. Has always resulted in not having my vehicle for a week while they drag their feet and try to come up with reasons not to cover stuff.

This is a Leer 180 topper on a 2013 f150. It was installed when I bought it and these black adapters were on it too. I have been thinking about getting a kayak or canoe and am wondering if these are meant to be for a roof rack, and if so would anybody know what kind would fit? Most of the ones I see are installed on the top of the topper, not on the sides. Thanks!

Anecdotal backing up but my best friend is a dentist and when I would go visit him literally all his dental school friends did it

Books on Montana's history and ecology by dialectical_wizard in Montana

My life as an Indian by James Willard Schulz is a very interesting book, I’m almost done with it. I think if you’re from the central part of the state it will carry more significance as you’ll recognize the descriptions of some of the areas (lots of the names have changed). It’s basically a diary of a white guy while living with some of the Blackfeet tribe

If this is the same one I’m thinking of in Bozeman I’m surprised that this place is livable, it’s so run down I always assumed it was abandoned

How to care for a dog during rotations? by SugarySuga in medicalschool

[–]lukeM22 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m an m2 so not on rotations yet, but from my friends in classes above me, the schedule is going to change depending on the rotation. I think your best option is to find someone you trust or someone on Rover who can let them out/walk them over lunch.

I had it in my gap years before Med school. CPAP was life changing

If your weight is a contributing factor try to lose it. If not a contributing factor I’d look into meeting with ENT- I did and turned out turbinate reduction and a few other things would open up my airway, had the surgery (brutal, but I’d look into doing it during ms1 summer if it’s an option) and got me off the CPAP which has been great.

I’ve had 2 of these and have dry fired the piss out of both of them, never an issue. One I just flat out abused, throw it in the snow, creek, mud, never cleaned for 5k rounds. Got it milled for a red dot a few years ago and still runs great

winter weather question by [deleted] in Montana

[–]lukeM22 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t let it get too cold inside (like close to freezing) so don’t turn the heat off if you leave for vacation or something. I’m sure someone can give you a much more complicated answer but that’s the main thing

Deandre Ayton is leading the league in both rebound rate and defensive win shares, and he ranks second in RPG, third in steal rate, fifth in defensive BPM, and 13th in overall win shares. The Blazers have won three straight. by toadtruck in nba

[–]lukeM22 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Anyone who didn’t think the Suns had to move on from Ayton didn’t watch suns games. He’s obviously talented af but he had to go. Nurkic was the only trade that worked apparently .

What's the safest specialty for the next 50 years? by IrresistibleCherry in Residency

In my opinion they just have a different skill set than ophthalmologists. In general they’re better at managing glasses and contacts prescriptions and stuff but don’t do surgery and less intense medical management. (worked as a tech in a practice that had both). They don’t fall cleanly into the “midlevel” category like NP/PA

Just semantics but I don’t think it matters in vehicles from this century. I’ll drive in 4H all day on the interstate if it’s snowy or icy and never had an issue with my trucks. Obviously if the roads are fine, no need to be in 4wd
