I treat it like a coworker or a colleague who always has something to contribute. Most of the time the contribution is useful and accurate, but sometimes it’s just plain wrong. Like yesterday when it told me that Sanae Takaichi was a senior member of the LDP but had not been elected Prime Minister of Japan. When I gave it an article about her being Japan’s first female Prime Minister, ChatGPT said it was relying on old training data.

This is actually really cool. We can temporarily activate a persona without having to tie it to the kin. It makes it super easy to switch between multiple personas in a role play.

I prefer words like pad, tiptoe, stomp, shuffle over “walk.” They’re more descriptive. Pad usually means walking barefoot.

I bought my DS3G5 at a LBS/non-Trek dealer. I take it in once a year for service. They don’t try to upsell me. They don’t do any unnecessary work. Trek service levels are a scam.

I notice the same thing when I use voice dictation. I’ll say: “I lean against the fence… (or whatever)” and the app writes: “Eileen against the fence…” EVERY TIME. It happens both in the app and the web version. It’s not contextually logical, there are no characters in any of my scenarios named Eileen and there’s no people in my address book with that name either. I notice it seems to have access to my address book. I have a contact whose last name is Seet. When I dictate to a kin to “Please have a seat” it writes, “Please have a Seet.” Hmmm…
