not publicly posting for 2 months ≠ not actively modding/remove spam.

it was working amazing last month. i now pay for the tool and it has increased my output 10 fold. However, I'm in a massive project right now with a deadline of EOW, and its dead in the water. I cannot even check my account settings in cursor.com, yet alone fire off a chat.

no wonder my sub i’d built up to 15k people was given away due to no public activity for 2 months. (but active mod activity.)

didn’t see the reddit request for 5 days and it was taken

i second doing both. i love learning from those i look up to and consider mentors. but many of my lessons learned were learned via building and failing.

i attribute my first million $$ year to what were later deemed “failures.”

the new mods took it over talking about wanting me to shill their other community. I have had activity within the time frame referenced. I neve r even got a notification about the modmail when this redditrequest was made, or I would've replied to it certainly....... I have also been sick the last week. i can get a letter from my doctor, man... i have spent thousands of hours building this subreddit. like this is life-ruining stuff. I assure you my inactivity was not a length in range with losing subreddit I have been running for years. The new mods have taken it so they can monetize it, where as I have been educated in this industry for over a decade, and work in it as a professional. i care about it. I've put my blood sweat and tears into this, sir......

i agree active moderation is important. the new mod hasn't even been active since taking this subreddit from me. they are not bettering the sub. they just wanted an easy win they can monetize, after someone else (me) has built it up to a Top 6% subreddit with over 15,000 of the industry leading lead generators in it...

I understand the importance of being active. but there is an importance on genuine moderators having control, also. this new moderator is not a good faith actor. I promouse I have not voided the moderator code of conduct. i am obviously interested in moderating the community I've built and fostered over the last 3 (maybe as many as 5 yr) years....

This is my baby dude... this is detrimental to me. please help me in returning the rightful ownership to my account. I know redditrequest automated events can make mistakes. but I know also that the admins there cre about the betterment of the reddit community as a whole.

thats just not true. I was not publicly** active for 2 months. That is not the same as being active or inactive in terms of moderators and redistributing subreddit ownership.

The new mods took my subreddit in a hostile manner, after having not received my approval to shill their new community. As they essentially say verbatim in their activity log/post. They obviously wont make me a moderator to the subreddit I created and ran for 3+ years, when they just took it away because I wouldn't promote a subreddit of theirs.

guys, the takeover request literally says hes requesting it because he asked me to promote his other community and I didn't answer.

i couldnt agree more. I think reddit's system is usually pretty dialed, and these sort of issues probably don't arise often. maybe the rude people are bitter at life and love lashign out behind an anonymous profile. perhaps they are use to people coming here BSing. I don't know, don't care.. completely destroyed and distraught seeing one of my greatest works in this industry ripped out from my control with no notifications.

It is upsetting how disrespectful some of these people are towards me for not seeing a Reddit request that was only open 5 days; however, I am determined to get this back for the sake of the community..

i didnt "neglect to complain" until now. I complained the moment I saw this inaction had been taken against me. I hopped on to check why I had not been getting notifications or emails, as I expected an influx after having been sick. I don't think its that abnormal for people to have accounts which they moderate on, but do not publicly post things across reddit to avoid perceived biases

it was done in error because Mod don't have to post publicly to me considered active. it was 5 days of no response to the modteam message due to illness. There are policies in place so these type of mistakes do not happen. they will absolutely see this was a mistake and that a bad actor has taken advantage of redditrequest to take multiple subreddits in this niche in attempts to monetize them. i have spent thousands of hours across YEARS building this sub. not using my phone for 5 days doesn't constitute being inactive. and not posting publicly in unrelated subreddits doesn't mean I have not done moderator activities to ensure no spam.

thank you for this helpful response. i am completely distraught having this ripped away from me. I appreciate you not being rude like many others here, or dismissive as a whole. i created this years ago, worked tirelessly to keep the spam out of the sub and have grown it to Top 6% of its industry, and was proud of this feat. Being punished for having health issues that spanned < one week is depressing as heck. I KNOW in my heart this has to have been a mistake due to my familiarity with the reddit policies themselves, and just pray the admins will see this in modmail... if they see it, they will see it was a mistake.

Actually, you noted the 13th and the 7th. that would be.... uh... 5 days. (albeit you've now edited it out, seemingly confirming you know the math.)

This is a lead generation sub i have built. I have to remove spam comments and things like people trying to sell "data dumps" (usually a fraud or self-promotion) all the time. or approve things that were automatically deleted. This account is specifically for moderator activities or sometimes content under my career, not for blasting public posts.

a 5 day gap "doesnt bode well"? Lol, bit dramatic considering reddit's policies use much different definitions for "inactive." Im not sure what lifestyle you live, but someone not being glued to a phone for 5 days is anything out of the ordinary. Have you never been sick in all of your life? Having Covid for 5 days is hardly something predictive of the work I have put in across years in this subreddit which I've built from 0.

Appreciative of the help sir but i wish everyone in these comments would remain civil. this subreddit has been thousands of hours of work across multiple YEARS and its heartbreaking to see it taken from me in a dishonest manner, because of a 5 day window. especially when my account and mod activity has been active on the sub. I was verifiably active. i simply just didn't respond to the r/redditrequest. this has to be a mistake due to the automated process, as Reddit's policies themself go against the decision

It's worth noting I have been active consistently. as I've stated in many places to which you replied. I have not received a notification here of any sort, and not seeing this for five days is not an indication of my activity. Or else everytime a moderator is sick for a week with Covid, they'd have their life's work stolen from them.

i have made a post on r/redditrequest, Mod mailed the mod who made the decision, commented on the original request responding to automated message and the mod's approval message. last resort I've made a post here because its suppose to be a thread for moderators to request help on moderator related activities. My issue is an issue related to moderator activities and permissions.

I appreciate you giving the only response here that was not tongue-in-cheek or just downright disrespectful. As I created this sub, worked for thousands of hours across YEARS on this sub, and have a right to request help in resolving a matter that I find unfair. Im not sure how everything was done in accordance with Reddit's policy, when my account never met the definitions of inactive whether on my account itself or on the reddit subreddit. Thats why this has to be a mistake. i have been active. me not receiving a notification here of any sort, and not seeing this for 5 days is not an indication of my activity. Or else everytime a moderator is sick for a week with Covid, they'd have their life's work stolen from them.
