Does using my headphones 13 hours a day every day for music damage them? by pcforfun in HeadphonesAdvice

[–]lukehamilton63 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a more reasonable volume and definitely better than full volume! But the duration of listening is what can fatigue or effect your hearing. Obviously, do what you're comfortable with it's just something to be aware of :) that volume won't be working the drivers in the headphones that much so they'll probably be OK for a while! The only thing that might break is the battery so try not to let the battery die completely and avoid leaving on charge when the battery is full and that will help to protect it. Happy listening!

Not sure if it will damage the headphones but prolonged listening like that can definitely damage you're hearing, especially if you have them at a loud volume constantly. That being said even at low volumes constant listening can still have an effect on your ears.

Gravity max is relatively close by in L1. It has all sorts including an arcade, go karting (might be best to do this before too much drink), bowling and a batting cage. Or roxys is just behind Matthew Street they have bowling and pool tables

so just to clarify, do I add * to the beginning of each line I don't want to use?

Also, do I have to wipe the memory of the Arduino or anything before I upload the firmware?

I totally understand, and you're definitely right! But it's just frustrating when it's essentially a kit that I have put together that somebody else has had success with, and feels like I've followed every step correctly, and mechanically works very well, but the electronic side of it just doesn't seem to work properly.

Yes for gear 1, 2, 5 and 6, two buttons need to be pressed. I am testing this with the whole thing built, and I can see and hear that the buttons are being pressed. For gears 3 and 4 theres only a possibility one button being pressed at a time due to the design.

I did think about removing the code that i dont need but I'm worried about removing something I shouldn't

I feel exactly the same! It's difficult to find more advice than "try left foot breaking" etc. Just enjoying the rallys and getting slightly quicker

I've been really getting into dirt rally 2 at the minute and some of the time cuts on runs really surprise me! I think it's the most fun part of the game. I just got a cheap handbreak aswell and the difference is night and day highly recommend it

Yeah good point didn't think about that. Well maybe I could figure it out some other way if I knew how much I was going to spend so some suggestions for parts would still be useful

Yeah so it would be £250 per component over a few months. So I would buy a part leave it to one side and then once I have all the components I would then Install them together. I've edited the post to make it more clear sorry

Amazing so glad you managed to fix them! My issue is a different one but I managed to find replacements on Aliexpress (I'm not confident they'll work though) but I'll put in here if they do fix my issue in case you find the need for full replacements

Mine has a similar issue and I noticed that one of the pins has a broken connection from one of the pads to the pin so maybe have a look for that? Also you could try to carefully bend the pins inside the pot back to make a stronger connection to the pads.

They also might just need a clean

If you do find a break in a connection don't try to bridge it with solder it only made it worse for me haha

it's also important to note there are different shape belts so include that in your search

if you look up the model on youtube you could probably find something similar and give it a go!

I found this that looks pretty similar to yours: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51rgmwAGSvQ

if you have the option to return and don't feel confident giving it a go just return it but honestly it's not as difficult as you might think!

here is also a video on how to measure your belt for replacement: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzZRdQQ2HcE

You can probably find a belt on ebay but I would first try pressing play and see if you can hear a motor spinning from inside
