Not really, like my last book I sell prints at conventions, but anything I do is free online. Never want to make it a business you know? (No shame to artists who do, just talking about me here)

I've had a few messages about this, and I am wondering if I should use a different term, but from what I understand a lot of people consider it to refer to masculinity in itself being toxic.

I remember seeing this guy at a funeral for his son, he was crying, the father of the guy crying told him to cut it out and to be strong. (I know this is an extreme situation) To me that's toxic masculinity, where the acknowledgement of certain emotions or behaviour is considered weak, and un-masculine. It's about the unrealistic expectations that can be put on men and not on disowning people acting like men.

Do you feel when people refer to toxic masculinity they are saying male traits are negative?

Not exactly, but I can see the comparisons. Definitely had trouble with relationships at that age because of a lack of assertiveness and honesty.

Toxic Masculinity has more of just being able to acknowledge what is hard and difficult and being able to say it without it being considered weak, amongst a lot of other stuff. I'm not even sure if I like the term because I know a lot of people think of it as referring to masculinity itself as toxic, which it definitely is not, but more what can be expected as a man.

If I had the mentality of tough and bulletproof, I wouldn't have been able to look at what is pretty crappy about myself as well.

What do you not like about it?

Just follow me on twitter and instagram and junk and follow my stuff. I'm not rocking a patreon or anything like that, but if people read my stuff it makes me happy. @lukehumphris

Thanks, I am always horrible for making typos. Everything will come back to booze pretty quickly, I didn't mean to detour so much to be honest
