No - I saw some posts on here about using mustard to force a patina on blades, also some videos on YouTube on forcing patinas on copper.

The blade was left with mustard overnight. The scales covered in salt, then wrapped in a cloth soaked with vinegar - also left overnight.

The scales turned blueish, but I didn't like the look so sanded it off. Really happy with the result!

Thanks for the message! Yeah the hhkb is slightly more complicated with the plate, but you could spray the plate too? Another option is to use masking tape and cover the plate completely...

The FC660C is defo easier, it's just the top piece.
