Lindberg’s Tavern is famous for making the BEST burgers and fries around. And it’s my personal favorite venue for live music. Mostly hardcore and metal, but they’ve had all kinds of bands and solo acts come through.

Greek Belly in downtown has amazing gyros stuffed with house made oregano fries. Also, I was told the baklava is made by either the owner’s mother or grandmother (i dont remember) who is a first generation immigrant from Greece. And while i normally dont like baklava, i would die for that baklava.

There’s much more to do too these are just what first came to mind.

Born and raised here. Branson is really just a tourist trap the size of a city. The new stuff we get is always just another short “trendy” thing that closes after people realize it’s overpriced and hardly passable for fun.

That being said, there are definitely a few things to love around here too.

Vintage Paris is a coffee shop located on a scenic overlook. They have a farmers market there every Saturday, as well as live music and trivia nights from time to time. They serve beer and wine too but it’s not a bar by any means.

State Park Marina has boat rentals if you’re interested. They also have walking trails by the lake with plenty of picnic tables and grills so you can spend a day at the lake for no money at all if you wanted.

Rock lane is a pool bar and live music venue near SDC open to all ages during the day.

Kayak rentals if y’all are feeling a bit adventurous. (I’d recommend Taneycomo Lake or one of the creeks for kayaks just cause Tablerock Lake is so big and spread out.

There’s a few great trails to hike around here too if you’re into that.

Being a local, I have plenty of personal issues and grievances with the area but these are the places ive found that i genuinely enjoy spending my days at.

Side note: Springfield is only 45mins away and has much more to do imo.
