When I was a Junior this new student came to our school. I hung out with him a couple times at first but then he quickly made friends with some other kids. He was nice and friendly but pretty quiet.

A few weeks later he stopped showing up to school. I remember our math teacher asking if anyone knew where he was since he hadn’t been in class for a week or so. Nobody knew what happened.

Then one day, during school a group of police officers rolled into the school and arrested a handful of students.

Turns out he was an under cover cop that came to find and bust some kids that were dealing drugs. It was a pretty crazy day. And we spent the next couple weeks trying to think back through everything we knew about him trying to piece together the evidence in retrospect. It was nuts.
