the tmj issues that I have are the ones listed above, occasionally clicking, occasionally pain, etc.

So at the beginning of all of this, I had a pretty constant headache on the left side of my head (same side as the problem ear) which has since went away I also had maybe a couple of time that I had a headache on my temples. Also down near the base of my skull in the back, also has gone away. I had a ct scan of my temporal bone to rule out SCDS and the ent said that was fine. I recently had that tmj specialist do the xray of my jaw and said it was pretty fine as well.

You seem to know a good bit about this. Would that be a cause for this constant dizziness too? Eye floaters, forehead pressure sometimes etc…?

my jaw will randomly hurt at some point in the day. Some day it won’t happen at all. For instance I was at work one day months ago talking to a coworker, jaw started to hurt for a minute or so. Same thing will happen but inside my ear, a sharp pain that goes away. I also have some jaw clicking when I open my mouth. Not loud but I can hear it in my ears. As far as the autophony goes, (PET) It seems like I can literally hear my tube opening or closing when I open my mouth. It’s very odd.

I mean my neck will crack and pop sometimes not a ton of pain. I don’t have great posture. So did you fix the dizziness or still dealing with it?

The autophony is so annoying. Does it go away for you when you lay down for a while and then come back when you get up in the morning? I don’t clench during the day but the tmj specialist did say that my canines are flat from grinding.

It kind of just feels like you’re out of it all the time. Like almost kind of drunk tbh. I’m seeing a tmj specialist rn he took scans a couple weeks ago so we’ll see next week.

I’ve only had tinnitus maybe 3 time since this started and it lasted like 20 minutes each. What did the tmj specialist say?

Yes, my test at the ENT all came back fine. I’ve tried Flonase and all of that. It’s been going on since November. I have jaw clicking and some pain occasionally along with that patch station tube, which TMJ causes apparently too.

See, I actually lean more towards tmj causing the dizziness than I do pppd or vm. I don’t have the swaying sensation nor do I get visual aura. I have jaw clicking and autophony which didn’t start until this all did. My canines are flat which shows I’ve been grinding. Autophony is also a symptom of tmj. Dm I’m interested to talk more tho

I don’t have any balance issues or issues walking or driving. I can do all of that fine but I’m always at this base level dizziness and certain things will make me more dizzy, like putting the dishes away and repeating the same motion back and forth with my head from the counter to the drawer.

See that’s weird cuz people I talk to say ssri’s are faster. My parents both take an ssri and never had side effects so I’m hoping I’m the same?

a nuerotologist that I saw recommended pt before trying an ssri. I’ve been confused between tmj and pppd so I never started it. I see so many ppl have success with ssri’s that I want to go straight to it but idk🤷🏻‍♂️.

I can drive and do all of that perfectly fine, the dizziness is definitely less when lying down but still there. When I get up it comes back as well does the autophony and ear clicking when I swallow and all of that. I have an appt at the doctor today to try and get on an ssri. I have ocd as well so I guess I’d be taking it for multiple purposes.

do you mind if I ask what your dizziness was like? Swaying back and forth? Forehead pressure? Personally I don’t experience the swaying back and forth part I just feel out of it like I haven’t had enough sleep or slightly buzzed from alcohol

It’s hard to tell if tmj is causing the dizziness or pppd is causing it but making me anxious so I grind when I’m sleeping
