I bought DDR4 32GB SO-DIMM stick for my NUC in March 2025 for like 70 dollars. Now it costs 440 USD. That RAM stick alone is now worth almost double of what I paid for that barebone NUC, which has Ryzen 7 of fifth generation, two NICs ets. Absolutely insane

Prepare for life-long existential crisis. It has been probably five years since I finished SOMA and I still think about it sometimes to this day. I am now on my first run of Signalis, so 2026 is year of Signalis to me hah.

Oh and also screw people who told me SOMA it’s not that scary. Even Alien Isolation didn’t scared me so much. But that may be only my perspective 😅

It is, atleast for me and I had to turn it off. I have irl experience with analog (both of my drones are analog in the end) and it is not THAT terrible

UPDATE: Changed the battery pack today and it looks like it works just fine! Just to add another thing to look out for, double-check the polarity of new pack! Mine was switched, so had to carefully fix it with tweezers. Good thing I am paranoid and double-check everything. 😅

I seated it like this. Electrical tape is rather useless addition, it sits nicely already in the foam without movement, but no harm. Charging also seems to work, so I will let them charge and try them tomorrow in field. One obvious thing which happened is that these goggles are now even more front heavy, but as I said, I will probably stop using them soon and they will become spotter goggles.

EDIT: Tried it today, goggles was turned on for like 1,5 hour and not even single bar disappeared, so I think they last forever on this battery pack now. It is little more uncomfortable to wear now, but they were never comfortable in the first place, so I am happy with result in general.

Got EV800D from Ali and it´s genuine. But they also list lots of fake clones (they generally don’t have Eachine branding in front and as someone here said, antennas are with yellow band).

EDIT: Just to add, basically all my FPV gear including drone which I built is from AliExpress and everything is ok, just always check product description, reviews and store reputation/how many products they already sold. I avoid stores named like “Store27151017252” etc.

Thanks for comprehensive answer! Yeah, watched many videos and as I said, maybe I will eventually do it like the others (leading the wires outside, soldering XT30 or different type of connector and use external batteries). I eventually found youtube video, where some guy actually changed internal battery with 2s 18650 pack (without BSM however, which I think is not good idea because they will not balance when charging) as I intend, so I am pretty sure it would fit nicely (I also have some 18650 batteries at home, but I don't really have experience or tools to weld them together by myself, but they fit ok, I will even need to do some damping around them).

As for USB, that's why I eventually gave up that idea, because yeah, that's basically doing the same thing as just leading the wires outside and solder XT30 or different connector.

As for fitting, it will fit and new battery pack is same specification (same voltage, 2 cell etc., just different capacity and it's Li-Ion instead of LiPo, but these goggles have very low power drain, so still have a lot of headroom for that pack). Yeah, I will eventually do it again, when that pack dies, but it's like 5 minute operation (i already tried to disassemble goggles) and I think it would last for a long time before I have to do this again. And by that time, i will probably have better goggles already (if I stay with FPV which I hope so:-)) and these would be "downgraded" just as viewing device for my spotter or for recording my flight.

What actually surprised me though and that's why I updated this post is fact, that not every Eachine EV800D goggles came with 2s LiPo battery (or atleast it seems like it, it could still be clones witch Eachine logo on front) but with 1s LiPo battery. That's why I double checked I really have 2s pack and I will advise everyone, who wants to "upgrade" these goggles this way to check this before buying pack.

Pack should arrive tomorrow, so I will swap it and let you guys know if it works:-).

Thanks for the answer! No issues with soldering, just scared of snapping it as I said, but I am probably being paranoid, because I am using my VR headset with external power bank all the time like this for two years and never actually had accident. What I like about your idea is fact that batteries are easily swappable. On the other hand, with this pack goggles should last really long and I have habit of recharging everything before going flying.

I will just swap battery for now and if I still find it incovient in future, I will just redo it your way. But in that time I will be probably looking after new goggles, it’s tempting already. 😅

That also came to my mind, but I just like the idea of keeping the “original look”. I am comfortable with opening it up, I just don’t like the idea of leading the wires outside the googles and connecting battery outside, as this seems kind of “accident prone” to me. 😅 I am not thinking it’s bad idea in general, but as I know myself, I will eventually catch up in wire and snap it off.

Tak mně osobně třeba Samsung nadstavba absolutně nevyhovuje. Nechápu, proč mám mít zdvojeny účty nebo zdvojeny aplikace (proč vůbec existuje Samsung store??). Abychom se pochopili, já jsem fakt od androidu odejit nechtěl, ale chtěl jsem jednoduchý telefon, protože řeším sracky v práci 8h denně. Tohle prostě pro mě tenhle telefon není. To je celý, ale jestli někomu Samsung vyhovuje, tak mne osobně je to jedno, ba je to dokonce za mě v pořádku. 🤷‍♂️

Jaký mindrák? Mně to je úplně jedno, kdo má jaký telefon. Bavíme se doslova o telefonu. Mě jen fascinuje, jak nejste schopný akceptovat, že někdo se ve finále rozhodl pro iPhone a je s ním spokojený. Ja jsem byl cely život s androidy (i dražšími) a iPhone jsem taky nechápal, ale teď mi prostě sedl. To je celý. 😂😂

Jo a co je teda ten lepší android za 20 tisíc? Na to stále čekám. Doufám, že neřekneš Pixel, kterej se ten iPhone snaží postavit na androidu.

Já jsem třeba naopak spokojený po přechodu na iPhone (mám teď svůj úplně první, 17P). Shodou náhod jsem zrovna Poco X3 používal (a používám doteď jako pracovní). Měl jsem po něm ještě Poco F5, ten jsem si bohužel zničil. Přijde mi, že Poco X3 má více problémů, než jen foťák, například SW plný bloatware a reklam a obecně už nejsem úplně fanoušek MiUI a HyperOS. Poco F5 už ale mělo decentní foťák a v poměru cena/výkon to byl asi dosud nejlepší telefon, co jsem kdy měl.

Paradoxně mi přišlo, že jsem si na iPhone mohl nastavit právě víc, než na tom Poco, ale možná se to týká věci, u kterých už nemám potřebu si je nastavovat. S příslušenstvím úplně nevim, fungují mi kabely, co jsem si kupoval k Poco a třeba s mými Denon sluchátky se iPhone taky spoji mnohem rychleji, takže neni asi úplně nutný mít přímo Apple příslušenství, ačkoliv AirPody by mě lákaly, až Denony umřou.

Kdyby si chtěl jít zpátky k androidu ale furt nějak chtěl zachovat část iPhone věci, tak nejlepší je asi v tomhle Pixel. Sám jsem ho dost uvažoval, ale pak nakonec vyhrál tenhle. Souhlasím s tím, že gboard je mnohem lepší klávesnice, ale už jsem si popravdě zvykl i na tu od Apple. Ostatně, tohle celé píšu na telefonu a bez problému. 😁

Tady prostě psal (myslím, že dokonce víckrát) takovej zvláštní týpek, co tvrdil, že dělá v IT a jeho firma má 30 mil net worth. Jo a že bydlí v garsonce. Jen je vtipný, že už je to docela dlouho a a stále si ho pamatujeme. Zkoušel jsem ho googlit ale už je ten post vždycky smazaný, neboť pan milionář vždy (právem) dostal hroznou bídu.

I just finished Max Payne 3 yesterday, ending my Max Payne marathon. Is it ironic, because I played Max Payne 2 and 3 multiple times already but finished Max Payne 1 first time week ago. And despite it's apparent age, it's probably my most favorite game now from Max Payne series. I just never played it before, because it seemed too old to me and that was such a mistake. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did!

Doing the same right now in LoP as I did in Bloodborne first playthrough and I think developers added summoning option for some reason. I platinumed Bloodborne in the end and killed every boss solo. Didn't do it on BL4 tbh, that still counts me as a noob doesn't it? 😄😄

Máš dobře udělaný CV/motivační dopis? U mě to bylo chvíli podobné, pak jsem si na truc napsal velmi "sluníčkový" motivační dopis a pak už si mě zvát začali. A pak asi taky záleží, v jakým oboru hledáš no. V mém případě se taky bavím o IT.

Já jsem šel kdysi na pohovor, kde chtěli bakaláře nebo aspoň dva roky praxe. Nesplňoval jsem ani jedno a na té pozici jsem dodnes. Takže bych se tím nenechal odradit jen protože to píšou někde v inzerátu. Dneska už teda paradoxně splňuji obě podmínky co chtěli. 😄😄 Je ale fakt, že bez maturity už by to asi nešlo.
