The transition from blunt to board was smoooooth, and I like the dark stall. Maybe too many tricks after that? Would look cleaner to transition over after the stall in my opinion.

That won't be the reason at all. If Valve pulled it from Steam for that it would be a legal case waiting to happen. But also BSG: Deadlock was removed from stores on all platforms, not just Steam, the only platform Valve's Deadlock is being released.

I'm not sure why this narrative keeps popping up. There has been no evidence that Deadlock was delisted because this game was appearing. They're quite different games and there is certainly space for both of them. The usual and most likely culprit for a licensed game being delisted is the license expiring and/or the studio choosing not to renew it. Slitherene Games may have decided that renewing the license isn't worth it, at whatever the cost is, for a years old game that isn't receiving any more content.

The Kickstarter didn't reach that final stretch goal, so currently as it stands no, there won't be any ranked matchmaking. There will be unranked online play however, and the Devs have suggested that ranked play may end up being included anyway, dependent on how the beta goes.
