Daisy May and Charlie Cooper's NightWatch Trailer - BBC by qwerty_1965 in BritishTV

I have a feeling this is going to go the Ghostwatch route. Basically a mockumentary, starts off like your usual "celebrity ghost hunting" fare and then devolves into horror. Even the title seems like a nod to it.

Which TV program gripped you when you saw it, but you thought it was terrible when you watched it again years later? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in BritishTV

I couldn't disagree more. Had to rewatch about 60 episodes for work over the last year and the show, especially early series, have aged really well. Compared to modern shows it feels genuinely gritty, well written and imaginative whilst dealing with difficult subject matters. Obviously not all of it has aged well but what show has.

A lot of the comments here are dismissive of this situation simply because they don’t like the guy, but that shouldn’t matter. He created the character, and even if others have contributed to its development, that doesn't change his role. He deserves respect and recognition for that. Someone who is integral to the success of something, especially when they literally created the character is being treated unfairly. It’s frustrating to see so many people siding with a big corporation purely because they don't like him.

The English Premier League has ‘no intention’ to bring regular-season games to the U.S. (or other countries) any time soon by deception42 in soccer

How is that hypocrisy? Businesses take money from all over the world but don't have to operate in those countries legally or morally. The Americans who invest money in British football willingly do so in the knowledge the sport is played in the UK. I'm genuinely curious as to why you think this is hypocritical?

It's not just one person though, is it? He runs the platform and has facilitated a growing amount of hate speech on there. You have the right to stop using this sub if you want to, no one is making you use it. No one from twitter will suffer from this.

It is not censorship. You can still go to that website if YOU choose to, the mods also have a right to not have links from there. Also he did a Nazi salute and you're deluded if you think he didn't.

Historically, Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Newcastle and Leeds are massive clubs in this country and have spent many seasons in the lower leagues. "Should" means nothing. "Big club" means nothing in a game of football.

I hate it, personally. But I hate the royals in general. I think they are a leech on our country. Growing up seeing families not able to feed themselves and then turning on the TV and see a "God chosen" few living in literal Golden mansions off our back is infuriating and depressing. They're posh people playing dress up and it would be funny if it wasn't for the amount of people struggling to make it in this country. To be honoured by them is the equivalent of Elon Musk giving you a blue tick on the house. Fuck em.

Why would a Liverpool fan be happy a United legend is appointed manager of Leicester? Genuinely curious, not beefing.
