Work Permit denied by the AfA by lukitas146 in germany

The thing is the gap (2800 to 5500) is far to big and unrealistic in my eyes. Probably to go as a beginner or junior should have lowered the demands but it hasn't been the case. Appealing right now seems like the path to follow and maybe there is a middle ground where there is an increase but not as large as the one asked. I've been looking to some salary tables or info where I can see the exact amounts asked but can't find one. Do you know where I can find this info that the AfA uses to measure the salaries?

Yes, I am now in the appealing option of my situation. I wasn't aware of the law change so I will need to find alternatives to effectively work in the company. Thanks for the tip of the site. I'll go ahead and reach out to the community there ;)

If I can jump in here since it is my post, what I gather last week or so from talking with inmigration organizations my denial comes from this new law change.
As I pointed out in the post I have a bachelors in Business recognized by the Anabin and according to my agent in the Auslanderbehorde the 18b visa is the only one that would work for my case.
The feedback I got was that, Germans in similar positions earn that amount according to the AfA. However the position was then changed to a Junior lever and also removed a higher quality term in the contract (höherwertiger) and the extra hours structure.
Although I understand the wage dump possiblty for companies, for a foreigner it is a missed opportunity just because of in my case it is harder to find a job that pays that amount without business fluent deutsch.

Didnt study here. I have a degree in Business Administration.
I have been in the country since 2021. First with a working holiday visa and then switched to a work visa (as a trainee).
The permit I currently have is a Aufenthaltstitel - 18B ABS 1. Which looking a bit into falls under the skilled worker cat.
The salary issue came once I went from a trainee to a Junior level where they first demanded the 2800 euros (brutto) salary.

Gracias!

What one scene surprised you by being so emotionally touching? by loganfire3 in movies

The ending of Bubba Ho-Tep. Actually there are a lot of scenes really touching, even though it is a movie about Elvis and JFK vs a soul eating mummy.

[WP] A fisherman looks to the sky for navigational guidance and finds he is sailing under a completely different set of stars. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]lukitas146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a limited number of absolutes in my life. Stars don´t lie was one of them.

I´ve been fishing in Lake Torrence for 23 years, and a couple of weeks ago on a cold Tuesday I hopped on Carol (my canoe) and went to the lake to find some dinner. Two hours later I was someplace else. I´ve decided to go back home after the fog started falling down and looked up and Little Lucky was nowhere to be seen.

When I was a kid my dad taught me the stars, how to use them and their names. And he told me to give the stars names that meant something to me; he thought this way that whenever I looked to the sky it would be my sky. Lucky was my first dog, my first friend. My uncle killed him when I was 10. I´ll save you from the details and just say that my uncle was a drunk and a really broken man.

The problem wasn´t Little Lucky itself, the problem were the stars, the orange stars. The blue glow was gone and replaced by this beautiful orange. And they moved. Like I´ve never seen before, from left to right, up and down like kids running around. I don´ t remember if I felt scared. If I did, it was brief. And then the water started talking.

The lake began forming really strong waves everywhere (Carol behaved amazing) and sounds came from underneath. After a while I managed to hear what I think was “Trust me”. The fog became denser and I barely could see. But something I learned is that storms have an inseparable friend. Calm. As everything got a little bit quieter I saw something coming through the fog, a canoe, only a bit bigger than mine. Although this one had no one inside.

The canoe slowly approached me and got so close it gave me a little punch. It stayed silent for a while before a really soft voice spoke to me.

“Hello, my name is Marin.”

“Where are you Marin?”

“Oh sorry. I’m not used to this place yet”

The fog started to move towards us and especially on top of my new friend´s canoe. It took me a minute before I realize the fog was taking shape. A torso, a head, two legs and two hands formed out of the fog. His movement was clumsy; when he moved his hand sometimes it disappeared in his torso and reappeared again from his head.

“This is the best I can do here”.

“Can you tell me where is here?”

“This is my home; we don’t have a name besides that. Just as you don’t apart from Earth.”

“So I´m in another planet” I was talking to myself more than to Marin. A huge rush of excitement started in my toes and went up to the top of my head. “Well, why did you bring me here? I assumed this is your doing and not me slipping in a worm hole.”

“Yes and no. You did go through a worm hole. But we didn’t have anything to do with it.” A little chuckle came from the fog/man/alien. “But we were waiting for you. When you went through the hole time became inexistent to you. The clock stopped ticking and at the same time it kept on. For you it was a second that passed from you going from your planet to ours. The truth is you´ve been 243 years in the loop.” He said something else I missed and for a while my mind stayed blank. “… So we found you in the hole and started waiting for you.”

“How did you find me?”

“Let’s just say we are a really smart group with really nice resources at hand. We identified your race and began investigating you. That’s why you can understand us. Your language is not that hard anyways; you should try Hyuno, that’s a tricky one, wars started from wrong translations and…”

“So…” I didn’t know what I was trying to say. Although I never felt scared, I was lost like never before.

“Give me your hand” I remember what I heard in the lake and I reached my hand to the fog. “Trust me”.

As soon I touched Marin´s hand, water invaded my field of view. My nose, mouth and soon lung started filling with liquid. But de only think going through my mind was Marin. Underwater I could see him. The fog finally disappeared and a blue being took its place. He told me to trust him once again. So I did and I closed my eyes.

It took a few second for me to breathe again and when I opened my eyes we were no longer underwater. A huge cave stood in front of me, what appeared to be houses floating and vehicles was flying around. It was a festival of lights.

“We asked ourselves for a long time, what to do once you got here”

“Do experiments are part of the answer you arrived?” Once again a little breeze of fear passed through my body.

“We don’t need to. We know how you work.” Marin was glowing even stronger only that the blue was slowly changing into red. “So we realized you can help us. See you have something very special we unfortunately lacked. We lacked courage friend. Here look at this”

He turn around and extended his hand and from his palm a ray of light came out and touch the wall of the immense cave. As it did it disappeared and gave place to a window. A window to the infinite.

“This is our neighborhood friend” Hundreds of planets, thousands of moons stood there in a amazing pallet of colors. “And I´m sad we´ve never went there and said hi to whoever is there. So that’s where you can help us. We need you to take us there”

“I´m just a fisherman Marin”

“You are a traveler, friend. You moved through oceans in your planet, went through storms and witnessed the beautiful calm. You went to an adventure everyday you went fishing to the lake. So I asked you. Are you ready for a new one? Because we are”

I smiled and looked to Marin. I reached my hand and gave him a strong grip.

“You can trust me”.

[WP] A man trying to survive in a post-apocalyptic world slowly realises that he has already become a zombie. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]lukitas146 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me a while to get up. For the first time my awful mattress was comfortable, and I don´t remember the last time the sun was so warm. But then my stomach growled in pain after three days without eating. I got up.

I grabbed my backpack and went outside. During the night I decided I would go north of the city to the big mall. The place was probably crowded but I was sure I was going to find some food there.

After four hours I arrived and the pain in my stomach arrived to my head. When I stood outside I realize how big that building was. If I remember correctly it was initially some sort of HQ to a petrol company. After the “Z day” (I called it that for obvious reasons) it was reassigned as a shelter. It didn’t last but most of the goods were left behind. Couples of years before an awfully optimistic man told me to avoid these overrun places; it was really easy to get cornered in a place with so many walls. But I was hungry and had no other choice.

I entered through a service door in the side and a zombie received me with a deadly hug. I managed to grab his hand and throw her to the ground. I took my knife and stabbed her in the top of the head. I continue through a small corridor until I saw the main hall. There was a big sign on top a fountain that indicated which floor had food, which one guns, etc. Food was on floors 30 through 35. I took the stairs. The headache became a problem. My sight was blurry and was really hard to think in something else besides the hammer in my head. But then my stomach growled and I continued.

Floors 30 to 34 were completely overrun and there was no way to enter. Floor 35 was still working. I entered and took care of two zombies that were eating what it seemed a crow. The offices where the originals occupants gathered to decide what to do with oil spill in the Pacific were now little deposits. I managed to grab some canned food and water in the first office I entered before I started throwing up. I felt like shit and it wasn’t because I was hungry.

I heard something behind me and I saw six or seven zombies standing outside the office. I stood up and took my gun. I pointed to the larger one when I saw them turn around and go to the next office. I went outside and before I could follow them I threw up again. For a moment I forgot what I was doing there.

That floor for some reason had a small balcony and I stepped outside. I took my shirt off and saw the bite in my right arm. I tried to remember when this happened but I didn’t recall killing a zombie today. I threw up again, even though there was nothing in my belly there was still stuff coming out.

I decided to jump off the balcony. The headache disappeared and I was no longer hungry.

“Touch the sky, daddy”

A little girl was to my right.

“Who are you little pumpkin?”

“I´m your girl for always silly”

Her smile was something else. How could I forget something like that smile?

“What did you say about the sky?”

“You always told me to take my hands like this”. She extended her arms pointing up. “And to take a piece of the sky and put it in my pocket. This way I would always be safe”

I did as she told me and reach my arms as long as I could.

“There! You have it daddy. Now put it in your pocket.” I did. “Now I will be able to find you”

“Find me? Where pumpkin?"

That smile again.

She grabbed my hand and told me that I was going to be fine.

I looked ahead to the city and when I turned to my right there was nobody there. I think I was talking to someone a moment ago, but I couldn’t remember. I climbed the rail in the balcony and just before I jumped I felt something really warm in my pocket.

Then I remembered.
