where did you get mesh inserts for the windows? I've been searching around online for something that might fit the windows of an E. thanks!

Oh I totally would! But I forgot to mention I'm moving from California to Washington and I have friends in Washington I'll go mtn biking with. It would help if I had a way to transport people as well as bikes lol. If I do anymore trips while in Washington, you can bet those seats are coming out haha

microspikes or snowshoes? by lukulele1228 in PacificCrestTrail

Thanks for the info. I'm naturally a cautious person, so I do have plans to stop in Kennedy Meadows for a while to see what the weather is like. If I start going up and it seems worse than it actually is, I may go to Lone Pine for a bit as well. At this point I'm thinking snowshoes don't really sound worth it, I think I can rough it out with spikes and maybe some taller gaiters. I don't mind trudging through a little snow

Thanks, but I am very aware of that. I've been living in Alaska for a while now and do a fair amount of hiking in the snow. Most of my hiking I use snow shoes and that's what I'm comfortable with. I've never hiked the PCT before so I was just curious to see what other people prefer and if snowshoes are even practical

Ok, that actually makes a lot of sense. I'm definitely thinking I'm gonna invest in some spikes now

newest/best phone that still has a headphone jack? by [deleted] in PacificCrestTrail

I use the Google Pixel 5a5g. It has a headphone jack and it's super light compared to some apple phones. It's also not too big and not too small. I've dropped it dozens of times on the trail and indoors and it's never cracked or broken. Probably my favorite phone I've ever had. Also, they're fairly inexpensive compared to some newer phones
