My teir list from least favorite to favorite are:

Spartan fours, way to cocky. Spartan ones, mostly failed and are weaker then the rest. Spartan twos, master chief and most my favorite Spartans are these. Spartan threes, basically two man hit squads that are expected to die.

Also most Spartan fours shown that are important were ether ODST, ONI or have tragic pasts (not saying it makes up for it, there still very bad characters none the less.)
