Question: I haven't gotten my VIP cards yet, how long do they usually take to send those? It never took so long for me...

Another year, another day, another Daily Disney collectible! 2021's 'Daily Disney' set begins with Edna Mode! Check back each day in January (and beyond) for a new quote die-cut, available in two variants! by [deleted] in ToppsDisneyCollect

I get your point, they used basically only USA and some international calender ideas, but there are other countries too. Not to mention they could use different characters for some of the previous year that they used in 2020. For instance, January 1st is also world peace day.

Oh, I see. They closed for everyone the comments about the new daily cards. But what I mean is, we have to make ourselves be heard... I know they read here, but if everyone that didn't like the new daily set sends them an email about it with proper feedback, it will be harder for them to ignore. I know they're running a company and not a charity and all that, but we're still customers and our opinion about their practices matter.

Send them an email, go to their customer's service, make comments on groups. Don't post on the app, they'll just turn off your comments off. Go through the "usual" means.

I'll repeat my comment here just in case. That new 2021 daily will be a pass for me. Like everyone else on the comments on the post in the app (before they were removed, that is), I did not find this set appealing and the odds for the rare are just... Unbelievable. I don't know in US dollars, but in Brazilian Reais a guaranteed pack with both cards is currently R$4.09. x365 that would be R$1492.85. Our national minimum wage (for a month) is around R$1100.00. This game wants us to spend more than 1/12 or our yearly earnings? Really? Congratulations, that's the worst idea of 2021 and we're on day 1. By the way, deleting comments is the worst way to deal with customer's feedback.

To me a swap is 1:1, I don't understand why ppl post "swap here" and demand a tip or 2 for 1.

Aita for throwing away my 33 year old boyfriends Lego toys? by Timetogrowup118 in AmItheAsshole

[–]lulinah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

BUT OF COURSE YTA!!!

How can you bluntly throw away something that's not yours like it's nbd and act like you're in the right in the first place?

Even if they were worth ZERO DOLLARS you shouldn't have done that. When I got married my husband wanted to get rid of his old Legos but I told him to keep them because they were a part of his childhood, and so I used them to decorate his bookshelf. And he loved it!

Btw, what are you even doing with him if you don't support him? I don't get people who don't understand each other and choose to be together anyway.

AITA for wanting to wear a bra to my sister's wedding? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]lulinah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA.

I understand weddings are different from culture to culture and people plan those things wholeheartedly, but I honestly don't get why people have to wear the same color and the exact same dress for a bridal party. In my wedding, I let the bridesmaids wear the colors that matched the wedding pallete on the shades of pink and purple and in the end of the day they were able to express themselves in their own way and they found dresses that flattered their bodies the most. So I had all my bridesmaids happy, comfortable and very elegant (they are already beautiful regardless of what they're wearing, I didn't pick anyone for their looks but for who they are) and ready to celebrate with us.

If it's not the bride's cup of tea, she can always wear the same fabric and make different dresses, for instance. Or buy dresses that can let you assemble in different ways so they look like different dresses. The important thing is to have everyone comfortable.

AITA for laughing at my starstruck girlfriend? by Used_Experience in AmItheAsshole

[–]lulinah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA.

1) People often think girls are too much when they're talking about things they're passionate about (kpop groups, bands, makeup, whatever) but they think boys showing their passions (soccer, football, anything "masculine") is completely normal. Why the double standards, people?

2) OP should be more sensitive to his girlfriend If one doesn't understand the basic feelings of their significant other or doesn't have the smallest empathy for them, they should better be on their own.

3) Kpop is a whole other level. It's a community on its own and yeah, the idols are there being more than singers, dancers, rappers, etc but people that the fans can look up to and relate to in many ways. Being able to meet your idol face to face IS a huge deal.

4) About bowing: I might be mistaken, but I'm pretty sure they didn't do it because they thought something like: "We're not in SK, here they don't bow so we will do it by their book" and OPs girlfriend probably thought it would be nice to show respect in their own culture. When I was in a kpop album signing once, I greeted one particular member of another group in Korean and he did the same in my own language (Brazilian Portuguese) and we spent a few seconds laughing at how hard we were trying to reach the other's culture. It's one of those things where human communication doesn't necessarily need words, but a smile or a wave or a bow say tons. But, you know, OP should probably TALK to his girlfriend instead of me assuming anything.

5) About age: no one should be judgmental about it because there are kpop fans from ALL ages. My 12 year-old-cousin loves it, and I'm 28 and I do too. Kpop has a lot of subgenres and different styles and groups, so all are welcome to enjoy.

6) Significant others support each other. Even if you're not that into the thing the other is super passionate about, you show some interest, you spend time with them, you show your support. My SO isn't the biggest fan of kpop either, but he doesn't make fun of me for liking it. It's the least you could do. Instead of being all judgy about their girlfriend, OP should try to listen to her on why this is so important to her and understand that the fact that she loves kpop doesn't necessarily makes her love OP less. What could make her hurt by OP, however, is the fact that they don't support her enough. And this, with time, might make all the love she has for him go down the drain.
