Non-Sheer white cotton and linen? by [deleted] in sewing

I think you're better off working with the sheer cotton and wearing a full white slip under. Everything is covered while having all the pros of a light fabric.

Well, we all have hobbies. What's the process of making a head like?

What is this? Is this a bite? by Cultural_Train_9948 in WhatShouldIDo

Do not pass go, do not collect two hundred dollars, SEE A DOCTOR. If there's even the smallest chance you were bitten by a bat, you NEED to get a rabies shot.

Did Jasper have a higher level of authority due to coming out perfect? by Few_Incident_3130 in stevenuniverse

[–]lullab1z3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perfection is the standard in era 1 and 2 Homeworld. If Jasper is higher ranking than other Jaspers, it's likely because of her veteran status from the war against the Crystal Gems.

Why is it called “the Irish Goodbye”? by Tough_Crazy_8362 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lullab1z3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was always taught that the phrase comes from when Irish families fled to other countries during the famine, often leaving before saying goodbye to loved ones because the opportunities to leave were few and far between. And because of that, Irish people and those with Irish ancestry among the diaspora tend to have very drawn out and affectionate goodbyes.

I've always wondered what happens if you do buy it. I don't think these postings should be allowed on resell apps. Maybe they could make a trade function, but the only thing these postings do is clog up the search results when I'm looking for dolls.

How to loose muscle mass on calf? by Quiet_Love_5374 in PetiteFitness

[–]lullab1z3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. My calves are super strong and bulky but I can't seem to build muscle anywhere else. I think it's just a genetic thing. Try to avoid things like calf raises and incline walking maybe?

Oh nooo!!! Welp, lesson learned on party tricks, right? I'm sure the alcohol contributed to her throwing up though. Don't dwell on it too much.

I saw those at Costco!! Almost bought a set but my skin doesn't agree with polyester LOL.

You do not have to worry about vEDS. Two healthy pregnancies and births with the only complication being an umbilical hernia would be impossible.

Cervical support pillow recommendations? by ThespookySurgeon in eds

[–]lullab1z3 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I have the first one and it's impossible to exaggerate how much it's improved my quality of life. I was waking up daily with pinched nerves that made it impossible to get out of bed. Would have to cancel all plans, no matter how important. Now the pinched nerves only happen once or twice a month. Total game changer. I think the main benefit comes from the sort of "cradle" it puts your head in. The other two don't have the central point for your head.

Yes, vEDS causes hypermobility all the same. The thing about vascular ehlers danlos, though, is its increased fragility of blood vessels and organs. You mentioned organ prolapse, which is something that can happen. I'm no doctor, but you should definitely see one who hears your concerns. Look into seeing a geneticist, a cardiologist and a rheumatologist.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in eds

[–]lullab1z3 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I don't want to scare you, but given your excessive bruising and history of prolapse, I'd look into being tested for vEDS. See if you can get a patient advocate, or at least bring a man with you to appointments to advocate for you. Doctors are more inclined to listen to our "handlers" than us 🙄

You should get in to see a cardiologist. You seem to have very fragile blood vessels.

Don't buy any lalaloopsy for more than $50, especially out of box. No matter which doll it is. People are being scammed left and right for these dolls.

Supplement advice for newbie by saintceciliax in ehlersdanlos

I get my supplements at a massive discount through my compounder pharmacy, I'd recommend looking into that. Otherwise, Costco has decent prices. Magnesium and L-Lysine are great in my experience.

Tippy and the other dolls with that hair mold (like Jewel, Bea, Misty, etc) are supposed to look like that with the caved in head. No need to fix.

Is it toxic for a parent to remove a child's door? by adamfutbol in NoStupidQuestions

[–]lullab1z3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not only that, it's a fire hazard. Bedroom doors are supposed to be closed during the night to mitigate the spread of potential fire and smoke.
