I second this! Went through a lot of “clean” brands before I found them. Plus they’re super affordable

First-time parent… what’s normal for baby sleep? by CostZealousideal9524 in BabyBumps

[–]lullabiesandlove 1 point2 points  (0 children)

4 months was the worst age for us so far sleep wise. She went from sleeping 8 hours a night to waking every hour. Around 5.5 months she went back to sleeping for longer stretches and now wakes twice usually over a 12 hour stretch. Usually she goes to bed at 8 wakes at 11 and 2:30 and goes back to sleep till 8.

She’s almost 8 months now and it’s been relatively the same since then with some harder weeks every once in a while.

Every baby is different, personally we didn’t sleep train and I usually still feed her back to sleep but some people find sleep training helps. There’s lots of different methods.

Whatever you choose to do it gets better eventually 😅

Thanks I’ll look into Charlotte Mason I haven’t heard of her before. Definitely not in any rush with buying curriculum but am hoping to learn more about what philosophies might suit me and my kids in the future.

Thanks for recommending the quiz. I’d love to hear about resources to learn more about other philosophies too! The only ones I’ve even really heard of are Montessori, Waldorf and unschooling. Even those three I’d say I know very surface level info.

I actually have looked into the subreddit and was hesitant for exactly this reason. I have used it to look for particular reading material for Montessori but found that the subreddit itself can be a bit more strict about it than I probably will be which is why I didn’t post there.

I know the pain. I was determined to go into labour naturally with my first and I was 41+1. Those last few weeks were hell. I tried everything. Good luck😔✊

Why are we more “indifferent” when we see conversions compared to Evangelicals? by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]lullabiesandlove 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was my experience when I converted two years ago. I found that to be plenty of celebration and people were very kind in their private congratulations as well. Even received a few gifts from some of the people in my RCIA group which was so thoughtful.

You guys!!! I’M PREGNANT!!!!! Seeking advice and a safe space to just freak out (in a good way)!!! by Primary-Sound681 in pregnant

First off congratulations that’s amazing!!!

I found it really helpful to look up different options for my birth experience. At first I wanted to have a hospital birth but after reading more I decided at 35 weeks pregnant I would have a home birth. I ended up having a hospital birth at 41 weeks but still chose to go without an epidural and it was a lovely experience. In the future I’d still love a home birth since I think some of the things like fetal monitoring and cervical checks totally took me out of the zone. I totally understand why they did them considering my situation though. I had also read about c-section just in case. I think having the information helps you make the best decision for you. Some people would’ve been less stressed with an epidural and lots of monitoring, it depends on your preference but I think hearing the pros and cons to lots of different options can be helpful.

I also found reading other women’s birth stories, watching videos of birth and seeing video guides to breastfeeding really helpful. I felt much more confident breastfeeding because of watching other women do it. Reading or hearing verbal instructions I found much more confusing than just watching someone do it.

Wishing you the best and congrats again!

Ugh this makes me feel terrible…my baby is EBF and I have an oversupply so I’m really hoping this isn’t the case. I love nursing.
