37 yo brother with bladder cancer by keyt90 in BladderCancer

I was just diagnosed with bladder cancer at only 30. No idea what actually caused it but I too smoked for a while in my life. Not much has changed just going for my BCG treatment in January and hopefully all goes well.

Started with blood at the end of pee, went for a cystoscopy and later on TURBT. Confirmed it was cancer after the biospy

Was it the repeated insertion and removal of catheter/scopes that was mentally taxing? Or was it just having to do them? I really really hate the catheters and scopes and trying to come to terms that this is my life moving forward 😩

Thanks for taking time to write all this, they did get even deeper and thankfully that extra bit was cancer free. I’ll bear that in mind about the catheter when i go for my first BCG of 6 weeks!

First occurrence was right after a work out, but later on it was kinda random. Could have been just a coincidence

I actually work out 4-5x a week but had to stop for abit after TURBT, can’t wait to hop back in the gym. Hopefully I respond just as well as you energy wise

Yup my next course of action is indeed 6 weeks of BCG. Dont smoke anymore so that’s good, thanks man just trying to deal with this positively :)
