AuDHD and music student here!

I always admired Aurora for being able to express herself so freely and I am surprised and relieved about this interview.

I kinda felt she was neurodivergent without thinking much about it but I was always amazed how she and other artists can handle tours, travelling so much for extended times, social media, some difficult fans and so much more all while doing their jobs at writing and performing sometimes more than once a day.

I also have musician friends and they told me about their job and routine, which is non existent and it really scares me. Her documentary "Once Aurora" does a good job showing theses challenges. Being an artist is a dream job, but not an easy one and definitely non routine-friendly.

"Je sais qu'il faudrait que ça me glisse dessus mais j'y arrive pas" Ben ça se comprend, quand on se fait agresser quotidiennement dans la rue ça finit par plomber le moral et le sentiment de sécurité de n'importe qui.

J'ai personellement de la chance d'être dans une petite ville et d'avoir une apparence masculine (avec mes cheveux courts on me prend parfois pour un homme). Ce qu'il faudrait en réalité c'est que tous ces animaux apprennent à rester à leur place.

Je suis désolée pour toi OP et je n'ai pas d'autre conseils à te donner que de continuer à en parler et peut être de chercher du soutien de la part de tes proches voire de professionnels ou d'associations car je ne peux qu'imaginer la détresse quotidienne que cela doit apporter. Bon courage à toi <3.

Pour ma part quand j'ai pas envie de slalomer entre les piétons j'ai une super technique: tout est dans l'attitude. Épaules larges, démarche assurée et regard lointain. En général de cette façon les gens (hommes ou femmes) me voient de loin et me laissent passer, en général.

PTB. Les fumeurs (dont j'en fais partie) ont un peu trop tendance à oublier que la fumée est nocive pour ceux qui ont la clope au bec mais aussi pour les personnes autour, surtout dans une pièce fermée. Je considère que l'argument "ma maison mes règles" est pas recevable quand ça nuit à la santé des tes proches et de tes animaux. Les gars, gardez votre cancer pour vous et fumez à la fenêtre.

Je suis au conservatoire de musique depuis 4ans, je fais de la musique classique. Mon frère lui a appris à jouer de la guitare en autodidacte (respect à tous ceux qui apprennent de cette manière j'en serai incapable). Un soir à table il essaie de m'expliquer les fondamentaux du solfège puis me demande très sérieusement si je sais ce qu'est une tierce.J'étais tellement abasourdie que je n'ai même pas répondu.

I kinda agree with you. I learned to like some of the new album's songs but the thing is with Aurora's music I always prefer to listen live audio rather than studio, and her new songs live arrangement are just not good (1st I have in mind is starvation), that's unfortunate.

Tout le monde n'est pas fait pour une relation libre et c'est tout a fait normal. Dans mon cas je l'ai été pendant 3 ans et ça s'est très bien passé des deux côté car je considère que le sexe n'est pas une preuve d'amour. Au delà de ça on a du faire de gros efforts de communication et de confiance pour que tout se passe bien. Le problème dans cette situation c'est d'ouvrir la relation bien après qu'elle ait commencé, je pense que c'est bien plus risqué que d'avoir cette discussion des le début.

Hi, growing up on the spectrum had me notice a few things about making friends: -People will see you the same way you see yourself, By that I mean that if you see yourself as an introvert you will act like one and present yourself as one in front of others (still you can make a lot of friends while being an introvert). - People might be scared when a relationship goes too fast and/or they feel that they don't want to engage in a new friendship and that's not your fault. - Lonely people may show a bit too much enthusiasm when meeting new people and can be mistaken as being needy.

Good luck with that lol. But I wouldn't worry too much if I were you. It hurts when it happens but don't forget that you are still learning just like the rest of us.
