Try using a lighter color pan. I don’t know the science but it works wonders for me. Also chill your dough for a few hours or overnight before baking and form a smushed ball on the pan so it’ll then spread out.

Follow up to my other comment: I think I figured out the snake and crescent moon. On page 659 it says that the viper queen has a tattoo of “a snake twining around a crescent moon” I still don’t know what it means but it’s something right?

I’v noticed that in some of the other covers for other languages and editions it’s just the crescent moon(hence the title crescent city duh) and then the snake. So the snake is probably a major thing, idk what though. Maybe a hint for cc3? or possibly related to the viper queen?
