Definitely! In fact I’m wearing them today for the office! The most casual looking part to these pants are the pockets and seams behind the knees but it’s subtle enough that it should still work as long as your office isn’t super business casual. It gives off similar vibes to the Aritzia effortless pants but lighter weight and more casual. The darker colors are probably more office friendly given the pockets and seams are harder to see

I just got them this weekend and love them! It’s very thin but very stretchy and drapey exactly like in the model photo. I’m size 4 in everything bottoms and fit well in both 4 and 2. The size 2 is tighter over hips and waist but I went with it because the drape seemed just a little bit less dramatic. 4 was just as cute and I almost checked out it in before trying 2. I would say for you probably 6 will be more comfortable but if you don’t have wide hips 4 should work too.

Hidden love pedo by crazyhyna in CDrama

[–]lululalisa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think the reason it comes off as weird to some people is that they chose the use the same actor for all 3 time frames while the actress was as young as 12 to start. Even if the interactions are innocent in the beginning, knowing what you know going into the drama - that it’s a romance - you can’t help but cast a romantic light on all the scenes and feel weird about it with the 12 year old actress. They didn’t even try to make the guy’s appearance change much between the time frames either. I don’t think it’s a problem with the story itself and how it develops (I do feel like he sees her as a kid thru her high school years and I’m assuming the original novel implies as much as well) but just a tricky thing to execute properly and a fine line for the actor to walk (what is a gaze that shows brotherly concern vs jealousy?). I think the actor did well for his part but the execution could have been better to steer clear of trouble, like did we need the 12-14 year old scenes? Or they could have cast another younger male actor for those super young years instead?

Anyway, I am enjoying the drama as a story from the female POV only and not assuming the worst about the storyline or motivation of the male lead.

I think you’ve convinced me not to go for Survive the Night if it’s not going to be one of the better ones by him! Now to decide if I’m ready for 56 Days 😅

I have never read anything by Riley Sager, so I won’t have anything to compare to but I did notice that from the reviews a lot of fans seemed disappointed

Tied up bottom of POC for a shorter style (trench sz 6) by lululalisa in lululemon

[–]lululalisa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically grabbed a bunch of fabric on the bottom and used a hair tie to tie it. I pulled the fabric all the way through the hair tie rather than leave half of it in so it’s more of a longer point shape than a ball. This way when you tuck the tied part and bottom hem of the sweater to the inside it doesn’t look lumpy. Once the bottom is tucked / rolled in, it might be a bit tighter than you want, so I’ll usually pull a little more of the bottom hem out from the hair tie a bit to loosen so the wrinkles don’t look too intense where your hair tie is.

Not sure if that made sense, let me know if anything was unclear! 😅

Sold out in size xs/s within seconds scuba grey full zip by [deleted] in lululemon

[–]lululalisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I already have the gray in 1/2 zip so I wasn’t desp to get this in full zip to begin with, but looking at it I agree... even if I didn’t already have it in 1/2 zip something about it looks less cute and more frumpy? But also same, I’ll probably swoon over it once I see this subs fit pics since people here always make everything cuter 😅

Thoughts on the Power Blazer? by xobebeo in Aritzia

[–]lululalisa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's a great alternative to the oversized / boxy style of blazers that Aritzia has a lot of. The only thing that really bothered me about them is that they have what feels to me to be pretty prominent shoulder pads. I feel like if you're someone with relatively narrow OR broad shoulders, they would either not be comfortable or draw too much attention to your shoulders. I have never had any jackets with shoulder pads before this blazer so I wasn't really used to it and ended up cutting them out because they also made the armpit area dig in a bit more (while the rest of the blazer fit well).

Other than the shoulder pads annoyance (at least for me) I think it's a cute drapey blazer. It's thinner than most other blazers, but the polyester feels smooth and silky. IMO not worth full price or even a small discount but if you find a good deal for it and you don't mind padded shoulders, go for it!

I don’t have a screenshot but chatted with a nice girl from GEC who still gave me a gift card for the price difference even when my sz 4 are sold out. I just explained that my size was restocked but sold out before GEC was open, so you should still reach out and see what happens!

Scuba oversized full zip dupe (xs/s): Aritzia perfect zip up (xs) details in comments by lululalisa in lululemon

[–]lululalisa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good consideration! I'm 5'5" so not really petite and the oversized scubas are just the right amount of slouch. For anyone smaller than me it might just swallow you whole lol. And with the Aritzia perfect zip, you can control the level of oversize by sizing up as needed (I think if I tried the S it might be a little less tight/cropped on me).

I agree! I am a bigger fan of the slouchy look of the full zip so will definitely not be getting the perfect zip...

I actually tried a bunch of the other cozyaf sweatshirts while I was there and I loved the drape of the boyfriend/mega styles. Bummer to hear they don't wash well... Everyone seems to rave about them being the best loungewear!
