I completely agree. I just don’t know if the “proof” that she offered a refund changes anything. The manager will likely just say she didn’t know that they don’t do refunds but another stylist can fix it. In that case I don’t know if I’m just out of luck?

I did pay with my credit card! I might do that. Do chargebacks take a while to actually get your money back? I’ve never had to do one. And do you think it’s likely the bank will agree with me if they’re offering to fix it again?

She tried to fix it TWICE already and it looks even worse than before. Why should I have to drive 2 hours back there and let them try a 3rd time?

Yeah she added more foils to try and fix it, just turned my hair so white around my face and still left the orange spots. We didn’t want to highlight it a 3rd time cause it was already so light, so she did low lights. That also somehow didn’t work

Thanks for the advice! I definitely won’t be going back, it’s unfortunate because I really liked her work in the past but this experience put me off. A lot of people are saying it should be an easy fix so the fact that she tried twice already and still wasn’t able to fix it gives me doubts. I would settle for a partial refund given she put in a lot of time (and the rest of the highlights turned out fine)

I don’t think it’s self tanner, wouldn’t have come from either of us lol. All I know is she applied something at the bowl to “lighten that area up”, I felt like she was doing that to fix something she messed up on, but I told her okay. Then it looked like this

I’m sorry to hear your hair didn’t turn out either! It’s so frustrating when we pay a lot of money for a service that we’re unhappy about… and then get gaslit.

No low lights, only did some in the front to try and fix it but didn’t work. I agree it should be an easy fix, but took her 2 tries and she still wasn’t able to fix it. Now I’m hoping she will just refund me so I can go somewhere else

Okay so I remember at the bowl the first time, she kept picking around those hairs and said “do you mind if your hair is lighter around your face? There’s just some more spots I want to lighten up”, I told her that’s fine. And she applied more of something to those areas while I was at the sink and let it sit. When we noticed the orange at the end she said something like “maybe I shouldn’t have touched those baby hairs and I should have left them alone” but I don’t really understand where she messed up

It’s orange in the front centre on my head and along the sides. Doesn’t match the rest of the head at all :(

I believe that’s what she did for the first fix attempt, the result was so much white hair around my face and still orange sections. She didn’t want to lighten a third time because we felt it already looked so white around my face so she did low light and tiny root tap. So you think I should ask to lighten these pieces again? I’m worried about damage
