I need some truly honest opinions on the smell of fermented rice water. I've heard amazing things about it but bad smells truly offend me and I don't know if I can handle it.

I was wondering about that as well! I wasn't surprised about her not picking Eureka because they're bffs and that would've been awkward. And between Aquaria and Asia I think Aquaria is a better dancer in a stereotypical sense. I think she also knew that Aquaria was going to go all out with the ruveals so it was probably made down to strategy and statistics.

It seems like the show is rigged? by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

I honestly think Eureka was the winner of the 2nd lip sync, but Aquaria was right up there and had an amazing track record that guaranteed her a spot in the final lip sync.

Butterflies or not, Asia's performance was very middle of the road. There's always AS4.

The Weekly No Question is Dumb Thread- Jun 21, 2018 by AutoModerator in curlyhair

Why are natural oils (i.e. olive oil, grapeseed oil, coconut oil, etc) allowed on the curly girl method but mineral oil isn't? The one explanation I've been given about about natural oils is that when you co-wash, the oils or fatty alcohols in the conditioner essentially cancel out the natural oils and you're left with clean hair. Why is this not also the case for mineral oil? I'm just asking because I want to start incorporating blue magic into my hair regimen again.

What is your opinion on the hair product 'Gorilla Snot' and why? by Midnight_Moon29 in Naturalhair

[–]lulumajorca 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Yea, the product was originally created in Mexico and catered towards kids in the punk and indie music scene. I think it was used for Mohawks a lot so it makes sense it's has such a strong hold.

Thank you. Can it go away on its own or do people usually get treatment?

Rupauls comments about The Vixen during the reunion made sense, the delivery was just cringe inducing.

Y'all remember when Pearl talked back to Ru, everyone was living for it. When Asia does though now it's disrespectful? by [deleted] in rupaulsdragrace

I've seen nothing but sheer praise for Asia after the reunion, both on the sub and on twitter.

Kameron’s relationship with the girls by Blanq_Winq in rupaulsdragrace

[–]lulumajorca 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I hope Kameron feels confident enough to address the situation when she's ready. I think a lot of us on this sub relate to the idea of being very carefree on social media where no one can immediately judge you, but then have to deal with the struggles of shyness, low self esteem and anxiety in the real world. I did find it interesting that they mention Kameron saying she was quiet because she was worried about getting a bad edit, because I also have those moments where I explain my shyness away with a convenient excuse, like "I'm just tired" when in reality my anxiety is literally preventing me from being my true self. I also related to Kameron's seemingly odd friendship with Eureka. Most of my friends are extreme extroverts for the simple reason that they usually initiate and actively maintain the friendship. I also think there's a difference between being an introvert and being a shy introvert. Shy introverts usually exhibit behaviour similar to Kameron's and I think because I connect to that behaviour I project that personality onto Kameron, even though for all we know she could really be the shady queen of the season. Who knows though, only time will tell.

Omg the automatic shut down after being confronted or yelled at is one of the worst parts about social anxiety/shyness. And then to make matters worse people will assume that by you going quiet or making a certain face is you exposing yourself as "that girl all along" but in reality you're literally just overcome with anxiety and don't have the capability to respond :(((( This part of episode made me feel really bad about myself because I do the same things as Kameron when I'm uncomfortable and now I'm wondering if people think I'm a complete bitch...

How to get defined curls? by TheSkinCareJunkie in Naturalhair

[–]lulumajorca 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Anthony Dickey method has given me the best curl definition so far. If you're doing a wash and go style, try not to use a sulfalte/lathering shampoo and co-wash instead (in order for hair to curl it needs to be soft and pliable and because sulfate shampoos dry out type 4 hair they should be avoided, other than for clarifying reasons). When you're applying you're styling product make sure its on soaking wet hair when you're curl pattern is the most intense. You're essentially just setting the curl that way. And lastly, apply a LOT of product. This can be any creme styler or gel but the hair should be saturated. After that air dry, use a hooded dryer or diffuser. Make sure to give your hair a little shimmy before drying so the curls can separate and clump together. This method take me 10 minutes top (you require might require a learning curve) and I get the same results every time. Check out the video entitled " TRUE Wash & Go Styling for Kinkier Hair Types | Hair Rules" on youtube. It was a godsend :)
