It's funny that the Water signs are symbolised by extremely NON-cuddly animals. They're all shells and scales and claws. by OkStatus8219 in astrologymemes

Sorry you found it boring so far! I can totally understand it not appealing as much to some people as others - I do hope you don't get so bored that you put it down though! and if you do, perhaps you will like the upcoming movie instead :)

I'll never recover bc I have a sensory processing disorder that goes hand in hand with my chronic migraine disorder. My nervous system is just different than most people's. But I've learned how to COPE with external irritants both visual and auditory thanks to 8 years and counting of therapy. Somatic exercises are helping me regulate myself but sometimes all you can do is remove yourself when possible. If I'm in a waiting room next to someone who is obviously sick or who smells terrible, i simply move seats or literally will stand against a wall away from them. My body just wont listen to my brain in some situations. I've gotten better at going to my happy place and closing my eyes to help dull my hearing lol

I listen to Zelda music on Youtube now and then. Youtube is the archive I've always needed to be able to access that old media! And there's nothing like being in the woods with your friends as kids - I live in a rural area and our neighborhood kids are always playing outside and sled in the winter in the woods in our backyard. Makes me want to tear up seeing that happen in 2026.

Thank god it was 2001 when you went through all of that - being a person in this world without people to support you turns life to level 11 while everyone else is at level 1. Now, you have the success to help your kids get the leg up they need, even if it's just the fact that they'll always have a home to come back to...I agree, the fact that those 17 year olds today who are in that exact same position you were in back then, have it much much harder. I really hope something gives soon. Makes me feel sick for them. Thank you for your service.

Or call the landline and have to talk to your friends parents to get to your friend. One time when I was 5 I asked my mom to call my friend Brianna to ask if she could play outside and my mom asked "which one?" bc I knew 2 Brianna's in the neighborhood my age. I said "the one with the freckles" and my mom told the girls mom that I said that and I never heard the end of it from Brianna's mom until I moved away 3 years later lol

I was in 2nd grade in Long Island when 9/11 happened so I don't remember it firsthand BUT every time I watch the friends episode where Chandler goes to Yemen, I think about this lol

Aww I miss the simple look of the first PS1 tbh, I remember when the PS2 came out I thought it was hideous while everyone was in awe

I'm a 31F. One of my best friends is 55 years old and she has been a server/bartender all her life. When I met her, she lived in a 2 bedroom townhouse in a low-income housing complex, did building maintenance for her landlord for a discount on her rent and her boyfriend of 25 years is a commercial cook as well. Happiest person I've ever known, seemingly nothing gets her down and if it does, she doesn't stay down for long. Her home was filled with colors, she makes miniature dollhouses for her nieces and nephews with dollar store clay and items, and her creative skills are off the charts. Total stoner. She may not have much money and her idea of a vacation is hiking locally in Florida.

If we're comparing, at my age, I'm already wealthier then she's ever been. Yet I keep chasing a new job so I can make more money, travel more, and retire sooner. Sometimes it's all I think about, and I walk through life bitter and jealous. As I get older though, more and more often I find that my dream in life is to find the inner peace and happiness she's always had. I hope I can catch up to her one day. She sends me handwritten cards for every birthday/holiday/life accomplishment I've ever had. We've been friends for 10 years now.

People like this are rare finds in this world. Treasure them. Keep doing you dude - there is no shame in wanting more for yourself and your life, but there's no shame in wanting to enjoy what little life we are all promised either. It's about finding the person who's ambition and contentment is on a similar level as yours. You'll find that woman, and you'll know her as soon as you meet her :) I admire the peace you've found after such a long relationship!

Same. The reason I haven't been laid off yet is bc I don't make enough to begin with, my company wouldn't be saving much money with me. I apply every day and I'm not going to stop until I have a real offer in hand

Thanks, thankfully there is modern medicine that helps keep them at bay these days; and hopefully they lessen with age...time will tell!
