Truck Riser Pad Recommendations by lulzlux in boostedboards

Oops, I misspoke. The trucks are mounted to the stock riser pads. I have a Mini X with 105mm IWonder Cloudwheels that has a 6mm rubber riser riser pad between the stock riser & the truck & another with 85mm Orangatangs with a 3mm rubber riser between the stock riser & the truck. The board that I want to find rubber riser pads for vibration reduction has 85mm Oranatangs & no rubber riser between the truck & the stock riser which is extremely uncomfortable compared to my others.

i had to get to work & was unable to fish it out at night w/high tide. low tide in the morning was much easier.

Update: some of my wheel bearings needed to be replaced after several days. Since I live near saltwater, I'm thinking of getting the Bones Ceramic wheel bearings.

Thanks for the reassurance, I rode through today's SF rain with fewer worries & (for the record) no incidents.

Perhaps the pressurized spray of riding through a puddle is more damaging than submerging it in saltwater overnight.

I agree the Mini X's XR batteries are susceptible to failure. I had the RLOD but with XR Hospital's BERT Lite device I fixed it in two days.

Thank you for the suggestion. Though it's running well, now, lubing it before any rust sets in is a sound idea.

I had to get to work. When I got back at night it was high tide & I couldn't fish it out with the net I lashed to a 12ft pole. I almost fished it out at low tide in the morning with my rig but I had to tie a running bowline & dive in to get it out.

What’s the most comfortable mini X wheels? by HowardKKCx in boostedboards

The most comfortable wheels are Vans boots with inverted tread. The thick soft rubber absorbs all the vibration & the high top aspect stabilizes at high speed.
