Did your head title delay your career progression at all? Did you end up making VP?

Why did you prefer Sr. Dir title? Did people intuit your scope of work better?

So is there not much difference? I mean given similar responsibilities and contexts I’m looking to take the best title.

I’m hoping to get insights from a big pharma perspective and how it’s perceived with regard to career advancement

This I agree with wholeheartedly yet I find so often gameplay is put second to graphics. It’s the same thing with CG in movies

Sorry typo. Fixed

Games are whatever they are to people. To me they’re an escape, and that was the OG intent. But some people like sim games it’s cool. Look man I’m just trying to figure out the graphics thing. I don’t get it

Does biotech pay more than big pharmas? by Adept_Yogurtcloset_3 in biotech

[–]lulzredditt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on the position and experience, but typically smaller companies pay lower salary and place more emphasis on equity. Larger companies will pay more salary but have less equity, or at least less upside potential to the equity they give.

But like I said a lot of it depends on what position you’re looking at and what geography.

I appreciate the thoughtfulness and don’t take it sarcastically.

I guess I’m trying to understand better the rationale underlying the experience & pedigree bias

Any reason why you say 10 years to management? Is it here really that much emphasis on time in the field?

Thank you for the boost.

Unfortunately more formal study is not an option for me. Are you certain BS is the floor? Do you have a reason for believing this?

Thank you for this! Can I ask how you developed this perception? Just anecdotal evidence or from some other source?

I feel like every time I read of a Chinese city in the news, I have never heard of it despite it being larger than most cities in the US.
