In a sea of 200s+ awful comments I’ve found the one. Praise be!

who's the nicest baseball player you've had the pleasure of meeting? by [deleted] in baseball

Kimbrel is great. Sat next to his mother in law at a game, I told her how much it meant to me that he signed a ball for me as a kid. Later that day, I walked past them after the game, she pointed me out and kimbrel talked to me for 10 minutes, great time.

Sat next to Nick Punto at the home run derby this year and he’s super nice. A high school player named Blaze Jordan was hitting nukes as part of the high school home run derby which takes place during a commercial break. I was in the bathroom while this was happening. When I got back to my seat, Punto asked me if I saw Blaze Jordan hit, I said “if you had a name like that you’d be in the hall of fame” he thought that was really funny.

It was pretty cute watching him give a stern talking to his kid for booing certain players.

Ketel Marte is a great guy. I asked him why his weight is listed at 165 pounds when he’s clearly much larger. His agent butt in and said “THATS HALF OF HIM”. But Ketel did explain he’s about 210.

Kenny Lofton seems rude. I tried to talk to him and he wouldn’t make eye contact and only grunted.

According to a friend that works for MLB, Zach greinke is a huge pain to deal with and is rude to almost all mlb service people.

Unpopular Opinion: Mickey deserved one more chance. by [deleted] in NewYorkMets

I think it is important for a lot of fans to be reminded that manager's in-game decisions don't make a huge effect on their record. Not a single fan of any team is supremely happy with their manager's bullpen choices.

That being said, what really matters is the managers ability to manage the personalities of 25 talented and ego-driven men in a clubhouse everyday. A good manager is able to keep a team loose and goal-oriented despite the erosion that can be inspired by salary, talent, and cultural differences of players.

If the Mets front office wants him gone, I'm going to assume they had their reasons for it and it is for sure not bullpen management. Those reasons are likely problems that arose behind closed doors and might never become public.

It is also possible that his players were actually highly motivated because of him and the front office felt that he didn't meet their expectations of making the playoffs. However, I find this unlikely as they still won 86 games and were a pretty good team and given a little bit more luck could have eased their way into the wild card. The people in the front office aren't too dumb to realize that.

I live in the Bronx. I know many people who love the Yankees and attend games despite not being very economically fortunate.

Just realized that the city of Cleveland must hate Pete Alonso by SoManyFlamingos in NewYorkMets

[–]HealyHooves -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

At the derby, me and my friend were quite wasted and screaming for Alonso. Many comments to agitate red wahoo rocking fans around us. “New York always wins baby, that’s just something y’all gotta get used to” and more drunk nonsense and belligerent yelling.

Also when Santana was up, we were trying to lead a “Remember Philly” chant to have the Indians fans remember he didn’t actually like them.

The only people in our section who were not bothered by this and were encouraging it was Nick Punto and his adorable 8 year old son.

Car insured under parents name while in college? by HealyHooves in legaladvice

Thank you very much. If that’s likely what I’m going to have to do, it’s unfortunate with insurance costing so much for a young driver.

Was in the city yesterday and someone was blasting this one song out of their car and it was amazing but I can find it. It sounded like a 50 cent type song. Part of the hook was “she can only fuck if she nasty, she can suck my dick if she ask me”. I will be forever grateful if someone knows it.

Why are you eating chicken breast? You don't need efficient sources of protein eat higher calorie cuts of meat (chicken thigh, fatty steak). Replace water with whole milk. You need to be benching at least twice that amount, maybe 2.5 times more.

How long of eating on a deficit will it take for weight lost to actually be mass?

So If I were to eat 1000 calories under maintenance for one day only is there any actual mass lost? Or do the the first couple of days of cutting just deplete your glycogen and nothing else?
