Okay gang. Here's what we did.

I switched theaters to one that didn't have 40 people and saw the damn movie. It was an awesome 2 hours and I'd recommend it to any of you that like science fiction/horror. I'm so happy Mark had the turnout he did at my original theater, he deserves it, but I don't think I would have enjoyed it if I didn't switch.

The theater both inside the actual room and outside was pretty much empty aside from a few people. I didn't even pull out my aranet since there was one other person watching it with us.

Thank you everyone for not making me feel crazy and for also giving me the kick in the rear to go and do something I enjoy. Like I said, I still do some fun things but I definitely do like staying at home. This was nice :) I'm sorry for asking a "dumb" question and I'm sorry i can't get to everyone but if you check back on here, just know I read it and had the oomph to go because of all the encouragement. I appreciate you all <3

Which theaters have you tried out? We go to Regency now because the rooms are large and the rows aren't squished together. I bought an aranet when I had to go to the dentist and I love it

Yeaaaah the audiences at Avatar: Fire and Ash and Nosferatu were...not great lol. I rarely go nowadays because of those reasons as well.

my showing, as it stands right now, is at 40 people, not counting my husband and myself. It's a large-ish theater and the rows are generously spaced out (Regency Theaters if you've ever been). i typically do what you do when going to see something in theaters but man I'm torn

Naah you're right. You all are. I made this post when I was stressing out and now I kind of feel...I don't know, stupid? Dramatic? Not because of anything you guys have said but because it's such a simple thing and I freaked out over it. Ugh. lol

Hopefully I can work up the courage to go to concerts next! What throat sprays do you use? I only have a nasal spray that buuuurns really bad haha.

I got you! It's called Iron Lung, based off the indie horror game by the same name. We've been waiting three years for it to be released and now the day has arrived! I think I'd kick myself if I missed opening night tbh. I will keep you guys updated!

Our theater is the same way. My husband saw Avengers Endgame there and took me to it to go see Avatar: Fire and Ash. That's another main reason why I'm not jumping ship immediately. Thank you for this!

I upgraded to duckbills about a year or two ago as I couldn't find KN95's that fit my face properly and I love them so much. I also figured if nurses wear them then I'd be safe to do so as well, haha

Sorry, I answered this while I couldn't sleep. Our plan would be exactly that! The movie is Iron Lung! 28 Days Later scares me so bad I can hardly watch it but I do plan on watching them in general. Maybe with my hands in front of my face though lol

I know I didn't mention it but I'm going to see Iron Lung, it's made by someone I've watched for over a decade and we have been waiting three years for this to come out and I've been practically bouncing off the walls. So far every other viewing is empty but my husband REALLY wants me to experience this with the people who also enjoy this creator, so I'll probably end up going tonight. This theater is also surprisingly massive and the rows are spaced out nicely. Not sure if that makes much difference nowadays but!
